***Official Texas Rangers 2011 Thread*** (1 Viewer)

Verlander really struggling out there.
Nice reverse jinx.
I'm not sure who botched the MM hit more, Rhads or Magglio. :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
Rhads is terrrrible. Not sure I agree with the OSB pulling Ogando after only 79 pitches. Doesn't he earn the 8th there?
Blister, apparently. I would have loved him getting a cg.
Ahh. Nolan, get the boy some pickle juice.

Yeah, I agree with the Ogando thinking right now. At least he has a slider. With Feliz you don't feel good about anything but the heater at this point.

They're probably both worth a shot in spring training though.

CJ, Colby, Hunter Harrison, Holland, Ogando... not terrible ridiculously awesome.

Interesting tweet from Evan Grant.

In 10 games this season, Rangers have faced (and beaten) 2010 Cy Young winner, No. 4 vote getter (Lester) and No. 11 (Verlander).

So what do they do with Hunter? Hurley is supposed to track to the pen by June right?
Would be a good problem to have in June. Realistically, someone will get dinged up and/or 1 or more of the starting 5 will lose consitency. Hopefully the reverse jinx works here....

How good is Ogando?
He is good, but his 13 innings this year have come against the 7th and 12th ranked hitting teams in the AL. He also has an amazing defense behind him that has been worth a couple points off his ERA so far...Not to take anything away from what he has done so far...

Need a big outing today to save the bullpen-o-rama on Wednesday. Lewis is staying home with his new baby.
:goodposting:Sounds like Lewis was going to be skipped anyway because of the rainout/doubleheader, but yeah, 8 strong from CJ would go a long way to helping tomorrow. Wednesday will be a very interesting game to watch. Does the OSB pull some starters for rest, conceding the game from the beginning?

Kinsler with the day off today. Andrus leading off. Young to play second and hit second. Cruz moves up to the five hole. Hamilton to DH and Murphy takes his spot in the field.

Flexability. Can't say it enough.

What do you mean move Cruz up to the fifth spot? Where does he normally hit?Why in the world would anyone give Michael Young and Adrian Beltre more ABs than Nellie Cruz?

Thanks for getting Josh's shoulder injured. jerk

Young has been hitting in the five spot ahead of Cruz. Sounds strange, but I am not questioning the 9-1 OSB right now.UPDATE: Hamilton out of the game with a strained shoulder. Was scheduled to have an off day tomorrow and the travel day off on Thursday, so will have to see how he is come Friday in NY.

I like aggressive base running. But Beltre has to know better than that. Take your double and let Cruz and company drive you in.

That's on the 3B coach, Bogie. Never make the first out at 3rd. Never ever ever.
Agreed. I placed the wrong blame.I wonder if the coach made the same call on Hamilton's try for home or if that was on Hamilton. OSB loves to apply the pressure, and most of the time it works, guess I can't ##### too much on days it doesn't.

Not even two weeks in we are already having Hamilton injury watch?

Hamilton said 3B coach sent him home. He didn't want to go. Injured shoulder on that slide.Oops.

Classy move by Hamilton, throwing his coach under the bus. If you don't like the call, tell him in private. Don't tell the media that you didn't want to go.

:goodposting: I first heard a clip of him questioning things and didn't think it was a big deal. Then I heard the whole things. Bad move to throw coach under the bus.

Kind of where the guy belongs, isn't it?

Horrible incident. Sucks that it happened. But if we are due for one of these a year from Josh, let's get it over with.

Murphy will be an adequate replacement. Chris Davis comes up to show his wares. Maybe he is a trade chip if he hits well.

If this goes wrong I'm still holding you accountable.

Trust me, if this goes wrong....no funeral.I blame myself. I banned myself from this board last season, and you saw what happened.

Dave Bush made it through three innings without giving up any runs, which is hard to do putting 6 guys on. Now for the great Mason Tobin.

These kind of bullpen only games drive me insane.

Someone tell Lewis to plan better next time before knocking his wife up. Do the math and have the kid in December.

When was the last time Texas could go into Yankee Stadium and feel good about the number three, four and five starters going?
