Last night was bad, but honestly the Oak guy is a top 20/30 prospect depending on who you listen to. I hadn't heard of him, but he has my attention now. I am still lol that he lost his no hitter in a 4 pitch inning. What a bad beat.
San Francisco is amazing. Oakland not so much. Without question one of the worst stadiums I've ever been to. And if I weren't such a biased homer I'd say it's THE worst. But hey, at least it'll help you appreciate other stadiums more.Also, go Oakland! 7 more and we're back to .500!! :confetti:

Shoulder fatigue might be there as well, but Holland himself said he has been fighting a stomach bug for two weeks now where he has been camped in the bathroom. His comments about the whole thing were pretty funny. I really hope it's not something more serious.

MRI back on Holland shows no shoulder damage. Lack of velocity contributed to stomach virus and weight loss. No throwing for a week.

Not yet. I know that some of the guys in the 3-5th rounds were picked higher than their pre-draft predictions, and there was talk they would take below slot, in order to get Gallo signed.

The simple explanation is people hate the Yankees and Red Sox, and just got done seeing two years of the Rangers in the WS playing fun baseball. The rest of the teams have low profile stars for out of towners, plus you have 20 straight sellouts in town and that does it. People don't think David Murphy is an all-star, they just like what this team is doing from both in town and out. If you vote online they give you the stats breakdowns of the players so they are certainly not voting some of these in on merits. And it's not just coming in from the local area alone the votes are coming in from all over the place (including Japan too).
Simple enough, but some people just don't get it.

Anyone else notice Young actualy make decent contact on a few pitches last night? I hope he can turn it around... I also liked seeing him bat in the 8 spot last night. Not sure Wash will drop him in the order, but it needs to be done.
He hit a screamer right back to the pitcher a few nights ago that was as locked in and the old MY that I have seen in a long time. I think you are right about him possibly turning it around. Batting eighth wouldn't be the worst thing ever.

total non sequitur IMO because they still have Leonys Martin on the roster and if Hamilton is fully healthy there is no reason not to have Martin back at AAA playing every day instead of sitting on the bench
