Tyreese is the least interesting character on the show right now in my opinion. Killing him off won't leave a mark.
he could morph into the most interesting character if he gives up the pacifist ##### guy he currently is and turns into a raging killer/volcano of mass destruction he should or apparently used to be.
Yeah there's definitely potential for him to be a really interesting character if he'd just stop being a #####.
he'd be really interesting if he wasn't so boring
He's boring to me because the choices he tends to make are boring. He's had some good moments (none better than the scene where he forgave Carol) but not killing the Terminite and then not telling anyone he let him go pretty much sums up the character. It's not that I think everyone needs to be a killer in this world to exist (although it probably doesn't hurt) but he's just been so passive.

Maybe that's the point of what the writers are doing - this big, strong guy is really passive and can't bring himself to be stronger. But for me, it's making me less interested in him. Honestly, other than Judith he's the least interesting character on the show right now. I'm more interested to see what they do with Noah and the priest than I am with Tyreese at this point. I'm not ruling him out as generating interest down the road but he's got some work to do.

I also think some of this may be a reaction to what I thought was going to be this great amazing character because the comic readers were geeked up when he arrived in Season 3. Their excitement and what I read about how fired up they were may have led me to think this guy was really going to be a great character and he's fallen well short of that.
Have to wonder if Rick and crew were just considering adding Tyrese to the group at this point, and conducted their usual entrance interview, whether he would make the cut?
I think so. He's a strong capable guy. It's always good to have people around. There's no way to know just looking at him that he's going to ##### out in tough situations like Don Cheadle would say in Out Of Sight.

Bunch of episodes in a row here.

The episode that's on now, it's the one where a bunch of walkers attack and there is conflict within the group.

rewatching after the prison falls, when Maggie finds the bus of dead people from the prison, why are they all zombie looking? They just died a very short while ago and while they should be reanimated, they all have the classic months old zombie face going on for them. It is like the gas issue, am I right?

You are correct.

Exposed to expired gasoline.

Great character development if true but I don't trust the writers.

Should be interesting reactions after tonight..

Entertainment Weekly has an article where the directors, Rick and others mention that the 2nd half is very different and they expect some to love it and some to hate it.. :oldunsure:

Lincoln said the second half of this season is crazy...the shock of the last episode from the first half of this season was about as crazy as I want to get.

Other than the death of a major character I'm struggling to think of something that could occur that would be as polarizing as Kirkman said this episode is going to be. I think we can safely assume Rick's not going anywhere so who could die that would have fans in an uproar? The strongest candidate would be Daryl, followed by Glenn. I just can't see Daryl getting killed right now and would Glenn go on the heels of Maggie? That's a helluva lotta body blows for Maggie to deal with.

Judith's death might be controversial?

About Maggie, she already had lost her father as well not long ago so triple blow.

So refresh my memory - last episode they are walking out of the hospital and up a road to somewhere/nowhere. Is this going to be another half season spent doing character development like what happened when they left the prison pre-Terminus? I hope not. ALso not sure if I want another protracted Governor theme with the people from the hospital. Time to break new ground....oh and kill that good for nothing priest.

My impression was that it isn't a death of a character, but more about the direction and how the story is shown for the rest of the season.

Maybe darker, as I know I read that we should be prepared for the Rictator to return..

This makes sense when you consider he allowed himself to be overruled on his last two plans and that ended up with Bob and Beth dying. Rick may not be as willing to listen to others going forward.

Good call by TenTimes about Judith's death being controversial. Killing a baby definitely would be very controversial and could divide the fans.

This ....and i might add ,based on the first 2 minute tease that was posted, that it may also be how its stylistically done . Camera work and the way its edited?

Do you think any of them have taken a shower since they left terminus? Would you still kiss Maggie even though she probably hasn't brushed her teeth in a year?

I wouldnt kiss her but id let her play with my deflated balls for sure ...but then again im a real patriot of the cause

I'd crawl through the feces of a thousand dead walkers just to kiss Maggie.

(although I'd like to think that type of journey and commitment would get me more than just first base)
