Season 3 and now season 4 have been great. Season 2 was the only one I was kind of ...meh on...still liked it but was not thrilled with it.
I thought Season 2 was outstanding. The Shane storyline was terrific. The zombie massacre. Sofia walking out of the barn. Dale getting killed. Rick and Shane's final confrontation. The walkers destroying the farm. Michonne. The prison. So many iconic moments.
Your right.....the last 3-4 episodes really rocked. But I was not too thrilled with the first half of the season after the stellar Season 1. Again I enjoy all of it. One of the best series ever on TV.
Can't believe this is it for this group.
But it will be cool to see another part of the country or the world for that matter (future new seasons) and how they are getting along with this apocalypse.
To those who have read the comics: is this show still on script? My understanding is that the show did generally follow the comics the first few seasons. I'm also assuming the comics are quite good. Accordingly, I'm wondering whether this show is going so far off the rails we are experiencing the results of subpar writing.
Frankly, if the entire group eventually dies and the show goes on, I'm gonna lose interest. Be like killing Walter White off in season 4 on the show switching to the California guys.
