hey, man, I don't want to start a fight. I'm impressed that you've overcome your learning disability to the point where you can read and write full sentences.

good for you, buddy.
sorry about your asperger's....keep fighting the fight....

Question: If Darryl knew how to get to the rat trap from the country club, doesn't that mean he knew about the country club already? i.e. how else would he have known how to get to

the rat trap from the country club if he didn't already know where the country club was?

Just curious
If he knew where the 'rich house' was, why would he even bother rummaging through it? Wouldn't you think that was already done?
I don't have an answer. All I know is he left the rich house to get Beth a proper first drink and he knew how to get from the rich house to the rat trap. Ergo, he knew where the country club was.
Ergo, that's some failed logic.

Let's say you know exactly where your local Walmart is, because you shop there all the time. They've got everything, right? Then one day you stumble upon a Target. Now, you didn't know about that Target previously, because Target is too pricey and more for the uppity rich house people, but that's not really important right now. What is important is that you could leave that Target and make it to the warm nurturing busom of your local Walmart. I know you could. I believe in you.
How the #### would he know where the rat trap was, let alone that it would have moonshine? And there's no way someone knows where a rat trap like that is without knowing the surrounding area extremely well.
 Because he had been there before? Like he clearly explained on the show...

A country club would be one of the first places I'd hit after a zombie apocalypse. Head into the locker room with a crowbar and leave with all the drugs you can carry.
plus a pretty defensible place. parking lots on one side, no trees on the other.

a full stocked kitchen, clothes, cigars, booze, clubs that can be used for bludgeoning or spearing, cards, golf carts (electric cart for silent transportation short distances--money)

most are surrounded by upscale houses, which means a ####load more resources, shotguns, generators, RV's...
wow

there places with guns, knives, axes, arrows, swords and you're pulling out a 4 iron? HFS :lmao:

How are you going to charge the golf carts? :loco:

If I'm inside the fence, at the prison, I'd have no problem using my shaft on a few zombies.

....most carts are electric, though...and a gas powered one would only have a one or two gallon tank

Car might provide much more speed, distance and better cover if you have to plow down a zombie or two , though...

Solar power also doesn't work after the zombie apocalypse. Luckily, gas doesn't spoil so you can run generators all you want.

We don't know who struck first, us or them. But we do know it was us that scorched the sky. At the time, they were dependent on solar power.

It was believed they would be unable to survive without an energy source as abundant as the sun.

Maybe that came out wrong? Maybe?

I hated the last episode. At the very least they should chime in on some other characters so we can get a update on what they are doing, rather than focus only on two characters for the entire episode. Quite frankly, I'm not all that interested in Darrell's past (like we didn't already know it) and we have to endure Beth's quest for a freaking drink? It was a rather boring episode. I'm not saying there should be suspense at every turn, but I would like to see more character interaction and more emphasis on them being mobile in trying to better their position.

There should be more supsense. They're out in the open exposed. The walkers are such a non-threat that they're questing for moonshine and burning down shelter. Ridiculous.

Agreed. Unless you are severely outnumbered these zombies are wimps. You can easily kill and/or outrun them and it is pretty easy to build an effective stronghold against them. Morgan Jones had a good thing going.

Seriously I don't know how things ever got so bad with these zombies. They would be wiped out in pretty short order.

O.K. so zombies are attracted by noise and fire. Couldn't you rig up fire pits with noise makers around your compound to act as zombie bugzappers?

If we're nitpicking about the zombie apocalypse, I'm not sure why there are so many zombies. I get it, when you get bit you turn. But I'm sure a good majority of those bitten are eaten. And if they are bit, I don't see alot of bite marks on the zombies. It's not like the old zombie movies where the dead (in the ground, cemeteries) come to life.

I thought that the virus caused an epidemic that wiped out a huge majority of the population and when they died they became zombies. Those that didn't get sick were still infected so when they died they also become zombies.

However I still don't understand why the zombies need to feed at all since they don't seem to "die" of starvation.

I don't think thats correct. I think the "virus" kicks in when you die. Thus, "The Walking Dead".

My 10 year old asked me if zombies poop since they eat. I was nonplussed.

I'll do you one better. You take a place like the prison and set up stakes 20 yards in from the fence. Let live zombies impale themselves all over them. Then zombie sounds/smells mask the humans living behind them in the prison. You zombie camoflauge the whole prison.

ETA: You can de-teeth and de-arm the zombies if you're worried about them breaking free one day.

Picking on you...

Hasn't there been discussion in this thread before about the meaning of the title? There are those that believe ķmyself included) that "The Walking Dead" refers to the survivors, not the walkers.

I'm one of those that believe that the survivors are "The Walking Dead", that's what I was pointing out to Godsbrother. Looking back at it, I see I didn't word it correctly.

It does appear that we are starting to discuss things over and over. I guess that's what happens in a thread like this.

Hard to believe there's repetition in 269 pages.

I like this.

I liked when Woodbury was introduced. Showed a way people were able to adapt.

I don't know if it would get old but i like when they show the survivalist aspect of the show. Even in small bits. (this past EP with the dug in fire pit, the headlight and hub caps etc...)

It allows a lot of people to place themselves in the show.

I don't know about out running them unless you get somewhere where you're safe. They don't get tired, so when you stop to rest they keep coming.

I've said too much already.

Right, but if you're outside of their range of perception (sight/sound/smell) they won't be able to track you. So, as long as you don't continue in a straight line indefinitely, they won't.

Well we saw what happened to Andrea when the swarm attacked the farm. Yeah you can get away from a walker or even a pack if that's all there is. But the woods were crawling with walkers so she'd ditch one group and run into another. Eventually you fall to exhaustion. That appeared to be the same scenario for Beth and Darryl. The more time goes by, the bigger the herds get in this world too.

I do like the idea of making a giant bug zap to attract the walkers. Seems like it'd be pretty effective. It caught the governor after all.

My wife and I are big fans of the show……..but we are both looking at each other with each passing episode since season 4's return and keep saying……will it get better?

Clearly the weakest season of the entire series thus far due to this second half. And it's not close. I hope it does pick up more as this is the last season with this cast. I was really enjoying season 4…..but after the fall of prison it has come to a screeching halt.

The show has been a great ride. Hopefully it really picks up this Sunday. It has been real bore so far. Character development? Yeah I love that……when it's interesting. This is just not very interesting at all thus far.
Huh?

If you've read the books then you know all about the Red Wedding. You TV watchers have a lot to look forward to. I really envy you!

I agree, why would he say it's the last season with this cast? One thing I would love to see is a fast forward to the future and a grown up Carl that is a badass. That would add a great twist to the series, plus get rid of that awful acting from the current Carl.

I agree, why would he say it's the last season with this cast? One thing I would love to see is a fast forward to the future and a grown up Carl that is a badass. That would add a great twist to the series, plus get rid of that awful acting from the current Carl.
I think he's just confused. There is a spinoff coming in the same universe, but this show will continue.

My wife and I are big fans of the show..but we are both looking at each other with each passing episode since season 4's return and keep sayingwill it get better?

Clearly the weakest season of the entire series thus far due to this second half. And it's not close. I hope it does pick up more as this is the last season with this cast. I was really enjoying season 4..but after the fall of prison it has come to a screeching halt.

The show has been a great ride. Hopefully it really picks up this Sunday. It has been real bore so far. Character development? Yeah I love thatwhen it's interesting. This is just not very interesting at all thus far.
