***OFFICIAL 'The Walking Dead' TV Series Thread*** (2 Viewers)

Yeah, I was going to say, I might be more like Eugene, but hopefully I'd be a much more convincing liar than he.

Earlier in the episode he reveals he's a fraud, I made the comment I really hoped he didn't turn out to be a fraud. He was so obviously full of BS, but the other characters around him couldn't tell. I hoped it was going to turn out to be something clever done to fool the audience, but wasn't surprised to find out that wasn't the case.

I get the hate for Eugene, but I like his character. Rooting for him.
Ditto.
:goodposting: he is a desperate man who found a niche that he believed was the only reason people would keep him alive. 90% of us are not Rick or Daryl and would look to do the same thing :)
I wanted Eugene saying "I'm smarter than you" to Abe to be more a plea than a taunt but it didn't come across that way at all. I'm indifferent about him and most all the characters except maybe Daryl. I'm in it to find out what villain we meet next, what their threat is, and what dark past made them that way. That's why I want to know more about the Abraham/wife backstory.

Mental note- condescension will only get you as far as Georgia.

That is what the flash back was about. They explained it on Talking Dead.
I'm really disliking that they're doing this more and moreso lately.

The episode doesn't fully tell the story so they use "Talking Dead" as a fix to cover those issues...

I don't know of any other show that gets away with this...
terrible

I's been a good season, but doing this is unforgivable
Seems excessive.

It's very common for actors and writers to have background information that don't make the final cut for one reason or another. It often comes up in interviews. This show just happens to have interviews shown right after the episode airs. Is that really this upsetting to you guys?

It's a major storytelling flaw. I'm not upset, it's just that as I assess the writing, that is major flaw that can't be overlooked. It's like preparing a great gourmet meal, except you undercooked the shrimp. It's a major blemish.

Is the first episode you've ever watched?

Really it doesnt even matter. She obviously thought he was nuts in the show.

Whatever he added on TD afterwards is just fluff, who cares.

It's not a storytelling flaw if they chose not to tell that, which is obviously what they did.

I kinda doubt they chose to let it slide, and then have that big reveal on the TD. Really, really doubt it.

Go on, finish your sentence.

I think some of you guys have talked me into it. Between the atrocious writing, horrible acting, maggie not caring if her sister is alive or dead, bad gas and batteries that still work, cow zombies, gum chewer somehow still having gum, and a somehow perfectly groomed mullett.................I am swearing off this lame ### show forever.

At least you can feel better about the gum:

Why is there generally no expiration date for chewing gums?Chewing gum is a very stable product because of its non-reactive nature and its low moisture content. Because of this, chewing gum retains its quality for a longer time than most other food products – so long, in fact, that chewing gum is not required by law to be labeled with an expiration date in most countries. Chewing gum that is not used may, over time, become brittle and lose some of its good taste, but the product will remain safe to chew.

I haven't received a good beating today, so I'm going to throw this out there. Disclaimer: I haven't thought back through every aingle scene and line of the show up up until this point, so I may have missed something that is glaringly obvious to the contrary of what I am about to say:

What if Noah is Morgan's son? I know that Morgan stated that his son was dead and Noah mentiined the same about his father. What if the twist is that they were both mistaken?

Sign me up.

I know Noah is from Virginia (was at a place with walls).. but did he say where he was actually captured? I can't imagine Gorman went from Georgia to Virginia looking for survivors? (not saying this is related to him being Morgan's son, just something I missed while watching and too lazy to go back)

So all black people look alike to you? Or are you saying they're all related?

Either way, real nice CCC...if those really your initials.

We began with Adam and Eve, so technically, we're all related.

Noah said he was from a place with walls so (comic spoiler):

he's probably from the Alexandria Safe Zone.

Yeah Abraham is a great character and he's one of my favorite characters on the show now too. Cudlitz has been terrific in the role.
I have a feeling Abraham is a dead man, just doesnt' know it yet
Sure hope not. Awesome character. Really want to see him and Rick work together.
Abraham has become what I hoped Tyreese would be - a strong, formidable potential ally for Rick. Now that we've seen him at his breaking point and no longer with a mission to propel him forward it'll be interesting to see where he goes from here.
Would you just get on with it and #### already?
Funny thing is, in RL the guy who plays Abraham is gay. NTTAWWT.

I figured it was a longshot, but the thought came to me today and I thought I'd throw it out there to get other's thoughts.
Noah is a bit old too. Morgan's son was about 9 or 10. So would be roughly 12 now.
And his name was Duane.
Yeah, that and he's dead. I guess I am the only one who remembers Morgan telling Rick how his zombie wife ate his son and that is what caused Morgan to snap and write that his son was dead on the wall. And his son is dead because he didn't have the strength to use the gun Rick gave him. Oh and Noah said the cops killed his dad.

Maybe he is related to Abraham Lincoln. (a notorious "rail splitter")

I heard a rumor about Judith too.
