***OFFICIAL 'The Walking Dead' TV Series Thread*** (5 Viewers)

Have to agree about the van scene being a bit much. Also, I thought the scene with the kid stealing Carol and Daryl's weapons was a bit telegraphed. I didn't know exactly what was going to happen, but it sure seemed like something was as Carol slid the gun through the door.

Overall, I enjoyed the episode and have thoroughly enjoyed this season.
Agreed on the van scene. There also should have been a lot more falling zombies.

What do you mean by telegraphed? Are you talking about seeing Noah following them in the parking garage? They showed him in the garage and then again through the bridge windows (harder to see that time), so there had to be a "meeting" at some point. When they squeezed through the door to go into the building, I assumed Noah would be there on the way out. If he was watching, he would have seen that those doors were the perfect time. I am not sure I would call it telegraphed/bad writing (i.e. let's go have sex in the woods with serial killers roaming around). If someone is following them, that was the perfect spot to trap them coming back. I had no issues with that setup at all, in fact, it would have been worse if Noah didn't do it then.
I definitely agree with you on this one. I was hoping that Darryl and the Mrs would get out of the van and then have to evade the falling zombies so they wouldn't land on Darryl/the Mrs.
Agreed. Was kind of irritated they didn't try to run out of the area asap to avoid falling zombies.

I saw the zombie camp as a father giving up hope of rescue/survival so he shot his kids/family in their sleep then offed himself. He probably didn't know he had to shoot them in the head. Maybe he as low on ammo and other means to defend his family and figured there was no where to go.

The van scene reminded me of every Dukes of Hazzard General Lee jumping scene...

Car flying through the air, nose coming down first, you'd actually see the front end crumple on impact, tires blowing out..

Cut to next scene .. Bo and Luke are screaming away... YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE HAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWWWW
It'd be better if Waylon Jennings commented as they paused it midair to go to commercial with something like "Wonder if them zombies like their humans raw...or mashed?"
:lmao:
:lmao: :lmao:

I was expecting they were going to have the van hit nose first and air bags go off to cushion them. Which would have led to the inevitable bad air bags discussion.

must have been a titanium reinforce van top on that rig to keep the zombies falling 50 ft at almost 100 MPH on impact to not cave in.

Was it 50 feet though? If it was 30 feet then they would have hit around 30 mph.
30?
Just a guess. It actually looks like less than 20 feet from the photo.

At a drop of 16 feet a person would be going 10 mph.
on the talking dead they said they used 4 vans and they were dropped from a height of 50 ft.

So 4 x 50 x 30mph...

Pretty sure they weren't going 6000 miles per hour, goober.

that's for a fully weighted down van.

stupid writers made the same stupid mistake... that van was completely empty.

"Makin' their wayyyyyy...the only way they know how.

But that's just a lil' bit more than walkers allow."
"Straight in the eyes, flatnin' the skulls

Someday the virus might get 'em but the walkers never will"

I was too drunk the first time I watched the episode, so I had to watch it again. the van thing was ridiculous. I can suspend belief with the rest of 'em, but come on.

I didn't catch it the first time, but I like the way they used the fire. Daryl was always lighting things on fire (notepad, bodies, cigarette, dumpster) but Carol was always seeing things as they're already burning. Daryl is still a spark in this world, but is Carol burning out? can Daryl start a fire in Carol's loins?

Not in this world.

censors won't allow it <_<

So the next episode is planning and staking out, and the mid-season finale is a full on extraction(my guess anyway).....................should be pretty sweet.

Carol's loins are like that notebook for Daryl. Too bad Daryl only has eyes for Abraham.

Here's my one hang up in the show, knowing full well that any attempt to include it in the story would grind the show to a screeching halt...

Why the F aren't they constantly hungry and looking for food, like all the f'in time? They find the water bubbler and they just politely fill up their tiny canteen. You'd think they would have ripped that thing off and guzzled it. That is the major suspension of disbelief I have every time I watch this show.

You answered your own question.

I'm watching a zombie thing from '04 on HBO called 'Dawn of the Dead'.

These aren't walkers at all. They are sprinters. LOL. These zombies are faster than Sammy Watkins. The undead have no chance.

Such a fun movie.
You write that like it is some random POS unheard of movie and not a weird remake of the biggest classic zombie movie ever. The first one by Romero is the ultimate zombie movie.

It's like the guy is in my head the way he's written about every complaint I've had myself....

It's kind of refreshing to see the apologists in here have even tempered their fervor of late.

I think that van flip may have finally opened the eyes of some.
Oh MY GOD, my eyes have been opened!

I can't believe that this whole time I thought this was real and it's just a stupid tv show .

You have shattered my fantasy. I can see clearly now all the wasted hours of my paltry life enjoying entertainment all this time when my favorite shows were blatantly disobeying laws of science.

MY GOD

The cabbage gun one the A Team was not real either.

Wait a Minute..... How can Data be a super advanced android but can't use contractions?

The Duke boys can't use guns because it is a probation violation but Bows with Dynamite is OK WTFFFFFFFFFFFF.

ALF IS A FRIGGIN PUPPET^&%%^#%^

You sir have BLOWN my mind.

Who is an apologist? The show is great. Apologist for what?

I forget, which zombie series was better? I cant remeber the name. Help me out.

Apologist, lol. This show is absolutely incredible and blows away any expectations i had for the first ever longstanding show about zombies.

Are there some stupid things in the show that make u scratch ur head? Sure. Show me a show that doesnt.
