Cliffhanger will be... that Rick and the lady cop know each other. She's been using a fake name so when they see each other, it will be a reunion of sorts.

I just want to know how/why that one telephone pole took out three people.

Don't think Eugene is a zombie but that was a ridiculous way to wake up. He groaned a bit to make us freak but he then snarled out a "help" or something.

I think she's not supposed to look at the wall of zombies...we still gotta wait for that reveal. This scene must've been a large full page panel in the comics for them to keep building it up.

Fake cop...trying to get back to his peeps, right? Really can't stand the way he escapes...just another moment of the writers writing to a plot point/trigger and ignoring anything natural.

Yet another "ninja zombie" in the woods almost gets the preacher. Amazing how these things can get right on top of you. Preacher is such a lame @zz unbelievable character who makes absolutely NO sense whatsoever...but I guess he'll get us to whatever plot point eventually.

Convenient freaking light pole taking out so many people with absolutely no sign of why it fell.

Thankfully Dawn gave Beth the keys when she did...makes perfect sense. Can someone explain that to me? She doesn't trust the doc...ok...so why not just hang onto them yourself? I know...I'll give them to this chick who has killed and tried to escape already. Only thing that makes sense is Dawn is now onboard with Beth getting Carol healthy and getting them out of there.

Maybe apologists isn't the right term...but for years now there's been a contingent in this thread that will "explain away" every dumb thing...instead of just saying, "Yea...that's pretty stupid."

Of late, those explanations have finally started to shed away and more are now admit, "this is just a zombie show...what do you want?"

Its much worse to point out inconsistencies in a zombie show than it is to try and explain them.

It doesn't matter what a show is about. There's good writing and bad writing. TWD has way too much of the latter.

I think it's a highly entertaining show and I'm a big fan. That doesn't mean there's not a lot of lazy writing and WTF moments littered throughout the entire run of the series. Read the article above, the guy's take is pretty spot-on.

Can't say the errors or inconsistencies in the writing affect my enjoyment of the show. I see them but they rarely bother me.

Every show has some bad writing here and there.. Heck even Breaking bad had some of those moments ( Ducks incoming shows )

But in the end I feel my hour was well spent watching TWD regardless of any moments.. If the show inconsistency and "bad writing" moments are enough to cause you to not like the show I'm sure there are other things to do.

maybe I'm just becoming more aware and less interested, but every week seems like they're trying to outdo themselves with zombies. raod-top zombie-cakes.. whatever.

wtf is the priest doing? he sees the group as evil and having corrupted his church, so off he goes? hopefully all the zombies have accepted jesus as their lord and savior, or else there'll be some skull crackin' soon.

"interesting" that sometimes stepping on a twig in the middle of a forest will lure a zombie hoard, but shooting repeated gun shots in city streets (supposedly swarming with zombies) doesn't.

I'm starting to lose a *little* interest in the repeated rival group holding somebody prisoner scenario.... but I still enjoy the overall show.

Anybody watching The 100? it's got a terrible teen-romance bs angle, but that part (Gossip Girl?.. never watched that) is mixed with a lot of BSG (a bunch of the same actors and effects) and a little Mad Max (minus the cars... I guess gasoline might actually have a shelf-life after all). It's terrible and I love it.

the way I look at it is you are going to have 2-3 awesome episodes a season and the other 5-7 episodes will be more subdued. Otherwise the series would over the top cartoonish.

Breaking Bad was same way, not every episode was a) believable or b) awesome. But overall it was a great TV series.

You're gonna have two or three people explain to you how it's special reinforced glass. Like the simple pane of glass that kept that horde at bay earlier in this season or how the church windows are all intact with the premise there were live people outside trying to get in and someone taking time to scratch on the walls a sentence complete with apostrophe's...rather than take a simple rock to the damn window or burn it down with him inside.

Don't forget...they "fixed" the problem of skulls squishing like week old grapes with Carl's explanation that sometimes you really gotta give it a stabbing to get through...just so a moment later we could have the awesome eyeball poking, head bashing scene with Daryl. Otherwise it would've been like smashing a guy upside the head with an egg.

Could see the deal with sasha at the end coming from a mile away but otherwise thought this was a good setup episode for next wk

Everybody saw it coming. Helen F-ing Keller saw it coming. The only one who didn't see it coming was Sasha because she is a character on TWD.

Fun show with borderline laughable adherence to physics and common sense. Not sure why we can't leave it at that.
