Well, that would send  waves.. how the show continues afterwards, no idea.. but would definitely set social media on fire.
Might be the only scenario that draws me back in...

I think he'll pull himself off that re-bar and get on the now calm horse. but that's still his death... regardless of where it takes place. it doesn't matter to me if he does it doing something "heroic" like guiding the horde away from... whatever.
That's exactly what he will do with Carl in his head telling him to get up, save everyone, you're the best I love you etc etc.

Why did trash lady almost kill priest with the zombie tied to the cart?  Was she just f'ing with him or was she going to kill him?  If the latter, how would this have helped her deliver an "A"?
I think the society where Georgie is from wants newly bitten people to study and use to try and find an antidote. Something that would have made sense 2-3 years ago. Just my guess.

Who was the hanged guy?  Savoir hung by Oceanside?  Michone coincidentally gets snuck up on by a walker and she finds Lucille. Then the talk with Negan, almost like Negan can sense / talk to the bat.

WAit, was that Lucille or just some baseball bat?  I dont remember seeing barbed wire on it.

Wondered this too.  He was awful fresh to be a walker hung up there for a long time.

Didn't Lucille have barbed wire?
Yes.  The bat Michonne used did not.  It had brain matter on it after she bashed the dude's head.  Thought it looked like an ordinary bat when she picked it up.   The take-away from the scene, I guess, is to go along with what Negan was telling her... that she was not unlike him out there.  She saw the bloody bat and second guessed being out there doing what she was doing.

Yeah. Writers didn't exactly make it subtle after hammering it down our throats with negam telling Michonne they were the same.

That plus when she was reading the story to Judith, she paused when she turned the page and saw the image of the bat...
If Rick dies, I can see her taking off like Morgan, probably handing over Judith, and the keys to Negan, to Maggie.  :oldunsure:

Not only did she pause when she say the bat but she then flipped straight to the end of the book and said "The end."

It looked like to me it had barbed wire.  But it was dark and I was scared by all the zombies so maybe I imagined it.

It's been advertised that there are only 2 episodes left until his death ... 10/28 and then 11/4

I don't necessarily mind that the announced that he was going to die this season.  But I wish they wouldn't announce the episodes it's going to happen in.  Would rather it have just happened.
That woulda been much better,  Don't care about the build up.  A shocking out of nowhere Rick death would be awesome.

There was no barbed wire on the bat. It was just a plain old bat. Well, one that looked to be in remarkably good shape for sitting in a trash pile for years.

Soooo..... I gave up on the show 2 seasons ago and just saw the promos that its Rick's last episode. Is that actually going to be the case?

lolz...and have AMC miss out on a chance to overhype/promote/profit on the RICK GRIMES RETURNS! episode to close out the series in Season 14?  No way they have the cojones to actually kill his character with Lincoln leaving.

I hated that they told you the exact episode, 2 weeks in advance.

Couldn't they leave just a little suspense?
the ratings for this show have dropped so bad that I think they were publicizing Rick's death this much to hopefully be able to get some more ratings for at least a few weeks.

And Gimple says that they are now going to make feature length movies for this new Walking Dead universe. Wow. Has he seen the ratings?

Quit whining. It was well done. And it fulfilled two of my predictions. That he would pull himself off and ride the horse off and that he wouldn't actually die

I’ve ripped on this show relentlessly for the last 4 seasons, but that was. Good episode.   Lincoln is a fantastic actor.

I thought they did a good job.

Could have done without the "trick" camera work yet again.. Zombies are 5 feet away, no wait, they are 50 feet away.. Oh look, they are within grabbing distance, no wait they are 20 feet behind..

Didn't have a problem with the "tracking zombies" someone mentioned above... They made a VERY obvious point to show Rick leaving a trail of fresh blood.

Thought they would leave the door open for Rick to come back and they did it the best way.. The Helicopter story has been hanging around for 8 years. So might as well increase the mystery by having Rick fly off into the sunset in it.

I gotta say I'm a little intrigued with another time jump and the extended previews for the next 3 episodes.

Huge Time jump.. They started this season with a 6 to 12 month time jump... Now next week it looks to be 10 years?

If/when they bring Rick back I wonder how they will explain the 10 years missing... Captor, amnesia, Coma... ?

I think on Talking Dead they said the time jump will be about 6 years.

Alos said the Rick is gone from Walking Dead on TV, but his story will continue in movies and possibly other content they produce.

Genuinely glad you guys liked it.

I thought the writing in particular ruined it- dialogue as well as choice to use the obvious dream sequences and bring-back of available past characters (I'm aware the latter choice will make some fans happy)... let alone the usual now you see em, now there's an open road to escape on, types of shenanigans. And all set up by last week's ridiculous fall onto rebar, which I couldn't push out of my head this week. It just all felt goofy and badly forced... even/especially negans breakdown and the writing for it. but as a barely hanging on fan- I'm happy other fans weren't bothered and  liked it

The rebar part was ridiculous but so is most of the show.

Didn't we all know Maggie wouldn't end up killing neegan? The only question was why.

Overall the show was fine. The Judith Grimes flash forward definitely is comic book worthy.

How can anyone watch that and think it was good?   So effing bad.  So paint by numbers.  It's just comical that it's reach these level of absurdity.

I agree, not a bad episode at all. Agree again on the camera trick. There was no time for Rick to pass out, wake up and then get off the bar and get to the horse with the end of last week's episode where he was passed out and the zombies were just about there, not far enough to escape. That type of stuff pisses you off because they don't have to literally lie to us to make it more suspenseful.

Me too, as long as they improve the writing. Having Judith fire Rick's 357 magnum from 50 yards away as a dead shot was dumb. At her size, she couldn't even handle that gum let alone hit walkers perfectly from that distance.

It was predictable but I enjoyed it.  I liked the Shane conversation in the car.  Good to see him in that role again.  Figured the last person Rick saw would be Glenn but I'm so glad it wasn't Lori and/or Carl.

That horse is fickle on what scares him and when.

I wasn't bothered by the Negan scene.  Thought the acting was fine.

So now we have Judith Grimes with the stupid hat.

Not liking it.  It's like they want to get ratings back up so they re-boot the whole series and bring a bunch of new characters in.  Not a fan.  Show won't be the same without Rick, hope some of the known cast members can keep it afloat.
