Unfortunatly, I expect this to be the end of the line for Schlesinger. Vines also appears to be on the bubble.

I think the biggest battles are at WR and that has been well-documented. I think Vines may surprisingly end up odd man out depsite doing so well last season. I see Roy Williams, Bradford, Rogers and Furrey as the regular rotation at WR, Drummond as KR and 5th WR, and Mike Williams sitting on his ### because they can't afford to cut him.

Daniel Bullocks vs. Terrence Holt at free safety could be a battle. Bullocks needs to win that one, because Holt did not do well last year. He's much better as a third safety.

There could also be a battle at right tackle. I believe Rex Tucker is expected to start there, not sure why he's listed at guard. He has a hideous injury history. Incumbent Kelly Butler would also be in the mix, but God have mercy on the Lions if he starts again.

i think the #2 wr is interesting . i like bradford here but many things could happen . im concerned on our LB .baily and lehman start on the PUP . seems like we cant keep our lb healthy . and simms has the history on cuncussions . i think kitna is in a totaly dif teir of qb then the others . unless he gets injured no one else will chalenge. #2 rb should be interesting . harris was brought from stlouis where martz coached . bryson was signed nicely . and he is a good blocker at picking up the blitz . doesnt seem like calhoun was drafted in the 3rd to do nothing .

Bolded the expected starters since someone asked.

huge fan, eh? ;) he was recruited as a DE/LB iirc, but was switched to O-line and started at C for 2 years. biggest reason i know him is that he's from brighton - played with drew henson in h.s.

i know nothing about his pro career so far.

I think you'll see Rogers in there on opening day at #2 wr.
That's definitely one to watch. And I sure hope you're right. If Rogers really is working hard and doing everything right, there's no reason he can't overtake Bradford. Physically, there's no comparison.

I know Kitna was declared the starter, but the QB position is worth keeping an eye on. I will be interested in seeing how Dan O has progressed this preseason. I remember reading how the Rams had their eye on him the year he was drafted (Martz in St. Louis).

Thanks, Unfortunately the Lions have closed practices, so we don't get daily updates from people in attendance. I did see on the ESPN ticker, they signed Simms to a 5 yr. deal, so thats good news.

What happened with Rick DeMulling? Is he injured or was he just that bad after coming over from the Colts? Hes got a big $$$ deal right?

I think Vines may surprisingly end up odd man out depsite doing so well last season.
That would be suprising. He seemed like the only guy producing late last year for the Lions. I would have to believe he'd catch on somewhere else.
