*OFFICIAL* W12 MNF Game Thread: Steelers @ Colts (1 Viewer)

Now, that was just pathetic defense by the Steelers.  Geez! :bag:
Everybody knows that when you play cornerback against the Colts with Manning and Harrison and company you read run first. :loco:
Just replayed it again on TiVo.How can you misplay something *that* badly?
That's why its called a bite.
He bit, chewed, and swallowed on that one.
He bit, chewed, and SPIT OUT on that one.fixed

Manning is so great at getting teams to waste a timeout or get an offsides penalty by going for a quick snap while the opponent is trying to substitute players.

IF Pitt holds them to a Fg and scores a TD on their next possession, Pitt will be tough to beat. INDY is so hyped right now and for Pitt to make it a 10-7 game.....

WHAT in tf running the ball on 3d/goal from the 20??? Afraid Vandy can't kick a 37 yd FG if it's incomplete?

It's hard to imagine anyone beating the Colts right now.
Well, it's going to have to be a game like the Cincy one, except where Manning makes a few mistakes. And, it's going to have to be on the road or a neutral site, IMO. They look incredible at home.

according to the announcers, the Steelers were in a cover 2, and I guess Manning doesn't know how to pass against a cover 2

I like that call on 3rd down. Why force it into the end zone when Pitt is playing a cover 2? Plus, you let the Steelers know that you are not afraid to run the ball on 3rd and long and James is more than capable of converting a 3rd and long. Besides, the Colts are likely to be moving the ball all night long and their defense is playing well so far, so getting a field goal there is better than taking a chance of throwing a pick if you force it into the end zone.

If Townsend is out, that's going to be a big problem. Can't lose a starting CB and hope to contain the Colts.Townsend can hold his own against Wayne. Rookie Bryant McFadden can't.

Getting that excuse in early, eh? :P

 Who's "forcing" it? That aint Vick back there throwing it deep.

Yeah, we all know how important that is. :loco:

Yeah he has tons of 20+ runs this year.

You do realize Manning wouldn't HAVE to throw in the end zone right?

Odds are when it is all said and done, that play will be pretty meaningless. Thanks for your insight, though. :P

They will lose to the Patriots in the 2nd round of the playoffs.
Do you mean the 6-5 Patriots who are a shell of their former selves?
yes
OK. Just checking. ;)

False starts all over the place.Crowd having a real effect on this...I'm *really* wishing this one was in Pittsburgh. Would be a much better game.
