Offdee, you still around these parts?
Yep I’m here.
Did you ever get the black face and black bezel watch you want? Did you sell your Tag? Still flirting with adding a watch and still like the one you had, though I think I'd want to change the band. My issue is I'm a bit fickle.
I’ve had my Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch for a couple years now. Love it.

I still have my Tag…haven’t really made any real effort to sell it. I spent months trying to find a black rubber strap for it to have it be a more casual watch. Long story short, it’s pretty impossible to find a replacement band for it. The part where the lugs attach to is curved so impossible to match up with a new band. That watch was meant to be full stainless.

If you have a number in mind for what you’d pay for it, send me a private message.
Hi!

I'd like to set myself a goal. If I hit it, but A really nice watch like Omega, etc.

typically, I like a stainless look.

Can you help ?

I can probably help - what is budget and what are you looking for.
Lets see if I hit my goals. but Prob 2K. ill link some things I like as I get closer

At that price point you won’t be able to buy a new Omega. Though older models are in the realm. I agree with this story I link below. Also lots of other brands out there.

Thanks, I assume the "third generation" means used?

Yes it would be used. In your price range for an Omega I think you would need to buy used. It is also the older model but as the article goes through that it is a good one.

People generally think of 4 generations of the “Bond” seamasters and they are currently making gen 4. Some articles talk about just 3 generations but I think that is wrong and the article I linked lays out difference between each version (generation).

I am eyeballing this Omega Seamaster 300 watch without band. It's only 10 years old, but has a bit of age and is not the most modern looking watch. Pretty cool.

If this one is close to what you got, well done. She's a beauty.

I am slowly falling for the Longines Avigation.

I inherited a couple watches from my uncle, including one that may have some value. I'm thinking of selling them and getting something I like with his memory in mind.

Thanks for the note. I'll give it some thought.
Deadhead now a proud owner of my Tag Heuer chrono! He received it today. Glad it went to a good home!
SUPER stoked. It's even better than I expected. Huge props to Offdee who was patient with me as I explored whether to take this step. Quality dude. And very glad I did.
I wear this watch almost every day. I absolutely love it, to the detriment of all my other watches (of far less value).

The problem is that I've caught the bug. I check out the Jomashop website almost daily, in part because they advertise very well. I blame @offdee.

Anyway, I have two watches I'm eyeballing, but one is maybe affordable and the second is definitely not affordable. You'll see a theme in the black v. white styling.

Daytona is definition of not affordable but a great watch.

Those tags are nice ones especially the limited edition Jack Heuer one. Never buy a tag from dealer and go second hand/gray market as they tend to depreciate a lot immediately. Most watches do so just giving heads up.

Also if debating if bracelet or no I suggest always buying with bracelet as it is easier to sell and if you change your mind it is more expensive to add bracelet to a watch then buying with bracelet in first place even if initially a bit more expensive.

Love this. Was actually thinking about you the other day and wondering how you're liking it. We talked about you getting the bug, so I'm not surprised!

That Rolex Daytona is my absolute grail. I'd personally go with the black with the silver chronos, but that's just a personal preference. Anyways, it doesn't matter because I'll never be able to pull the trigger on that price tag anyways.
