Not sure if there is the demand for this or not, but I figure I'd start this and see if it has legs.

Our season starts tonight and week 1 runs through 4/15, so there are some 3 start possibilities. At this point here's what I'm looking at.

Pick 5 from: Halladay, Grienke, Romero, Fister, Nolasco (HOU, @ PHI), Harrison (CHW, @MIN), Nicasio (ARI, @HOU) and Tomlin (CHW, @KC)

First 4 are no-brainers IMO, so I think I'm choosing b/w Nolasco, Harrison, Nicasio and Tomlin...with preferences to Harrison and Tomlin due to who they are playing.

thoughts?

Maybe I can get some strategy help in here. I haven't played in a head to head league in a long time, like 10 years. I need some advice on how to/if I should stream pitchers, because I've never done it before.

My current starting pitchers are : Felix Hernandez, Matt Cain, Shawn Marcum, Johnny Cueto, Francisco Liriano, Mike Leake and Jeff Niemann

relievers are: Axford, Balfour, O'Flaherty, Mujica.

Leake and Niemann were my last two picks and I'm not counting on much of anything from them. We start 5 SP, 4 RP. Categories are W, SV, K, HLD, ERA, K/BB and OBPA. With 4 counting stats, I'm thinking streaming guys in the spots of Leake and Niemann would be the best way to go? Limit of 6 player adds per week.

There are only 3 bench spots in the league, using my 3rd bench spot on a backup outfielder for now (Venable, because I need SB's).

The rest of my lineup if anyone has any input (16 teams), R, HR, RBI, SB, AVG, OBP, SLG (Yahoo crapped out during early rounds of draft and autopicked for me a couple times, so a couple picks here I don't love):

C - Posey

1B - Cabrera

2B - Ackley

3B - Wright

SS - Alexei Ramirez

CF - Werth

OF - Hunter

OF - Joyce

UT - Rios

BN - Venable

DL - Craig

I'd go Nicasio and Harrison without hesitation.

bench Fister?
Yes, I don't know Fister's matchup beyond Boston as I haven't looked at the schedule beyond Sunday but the Red Sox are enough for me to say bench him. I think they're all similar pitchers and Harrison + Nicasio have better matchups even if Fister's next draw is at Oakland or Seattle.
thx. FWIW, TB is the 2nd matchup

F'Her, Cain, and Marcum start regardless, the rest are matchup plays. Not sure how waivers look and I'd have Leake at the end of the bench but I'd be torn between Liriano and Niemann for your next cut. Liriano is a little more tolerable in H2H because his bad games can be forgotten quickly but the problem is you don't know when they're coming. A hot April and I'd bump him up t safe, a couple of eggs and I'd just wash my hands of him.

Need to pick 5 of:

Halladay @ ATL

Grienke @ SF

Romero vs. Tex

Nolasco @ SF, @ SD

Nicasio vs. LAD, vs. ATL

Harrison @ TOR

Thinking the play here is the first 5...I know Harrison has been pitching well except for his last start, but Nicasio and Nolasco both start twice, and I can't bench Halladay/Grienke/Romero for Harrison...right?

I'd bench Romero
