**Official Who are you starting Riley Cooper over in week 10?** (1 Viewer)

It could end up being a classic case of 'chasing points', but Foles certainly does seem to have a great repoire with Riley Cooper. And the Eagles/Packers game has the potential to be high scoring.

So, for those of you starting Riley Cooper, who are you taking out of your lineup?

Haven't committed yet, but if I do it will be over Trent Richardson, Brian Hartline, Andre Brown, Marlon Brown, and Mike Brown due to Amendola's bye and Blackmon's suspension.

Leaning Cooper.

Just picked up Cooper to cover Blackmon being an idiot, and starting him over Hartline and Heyward-Bey. Easy call.

Cooper is a prototype WR3 in a start 3WR set.......he can catch the deep ball and have big games, but he can also bust. When you have D Thomas and A Johnson at the 1st 2 WR spots, I can handle if Cooper busts this week.

well, every game has the potential, but I don't see any particular reason gb scores a lot.

or did you just mean the philly side?

Last week's stats are an outlier. No one expects a 3 TD performance going forward. That said, he's had a nice connection with Foles, and should be enough to offer a safe floor based on the volume of targets he gets. I'm not going to go crazy and start him over any legit WR2's, but he's worth a flier as a WR3 and certainly worth considering as a strong WR4.

lol at all of the poor Brian Hartline owners. Wish I never drafted that guy. I cut him to pick up Cooper, and will either start him or Mike Brown (JAX) this week. Haven't decided yet.

a great what now?

Does the game have a chance to be high-scoring? Eagles D has been pretty good the past several weeks and GB with no Rodgers would obviously be limited. GB has been average against the pass, based on the stats.

I agree with this. I like him over the Boykin, Michael Floyd, Reuben Randle-types, and because of matchups, this week over Douglas, Wallace, Steve Smith types.

I could see the packers struggling, put up 20 against a crappy bears d. And the eagles aren't throwing 7 tds at lambeau obviously

Passed on Cooper for Dobson - but with the Pats on a bye, and Riley sitting on the ww....I am giving it some thought.

So you drafted Hartline as a WR5 and he has performed as a WR 5. What exactly are you laughing at?

I don't play in any leagues where a WR5 helps my team.
But what were you expecting him to do? He has performed exactly as he was drafted.

good grief people, it was amusing to me that the first 3 or 4 responses to this thread included Brian Hartline. This doesn't need to be a big deal.

I own Cooper in a ton of leagues, but I'm not in position to use him. A low-end WR2 week is probable wit 8-9 points from 4-5 catches.

Not starting over Decker, K. Allen or Jeffery. But I would start him over Roddy White if I had to play a 4th WR.

Amendola and Gordon are on bye, so I got him in my PPR league. I'm pretty thin at WR, but there's not much out there and he's got 59 points in the two games Foles has started and completed.

picked him up this morning in one league and plugged him into flex over jstew and sjax

just now realized that's the league I've got djax in, so apparently I'm starting both, and nfoles in another league.

this can't end well........

Two things via Philly Sports Radio, FWIW...

1) HoFer analyst Ray Diddy says that Cooper and Foles have an excellent repoire; and that Foles has no problems believing he can get the ball to Cooper in tight spots. Ray feels Vick didn't have that trust and continually looked over Cooper. Cooper isn't running by or over players....but if Foles trusts him when Cooper has half a step on a defender....that bodes well for Cooper.

2) Diddy also felt that, for whatever reason the Raiders didn't watch a single snap of Eagles O plays this year. The Eagles have struggled mightily against man to man press coverage. The recent games they've done well (Bucs/Raiders) the opposition hasn't played that. The games they've performed poorly (Giants/Cowboys) the opposing D has played that. If the Packers jam the line and Kelly doesn't adjust....Cooper can be in for a long day.

I got him as a WR5. I'm starting Foles and not him. I'm not confident putting too many eggs in the Eagles basket.

that's pretty interesting, but didn't foles put up 200/2 with 64% comp and 8 ypa in a half against the giants?

the week they didn't do well was barkley, and he's apparently terrible.

I think the difference between dallas and gb playing man coverage is it'll be hard for gb to get the same kind of pressure dallas did, and those guys won't be able to cover forever.

Yeah it was Barkley. IIRC, though KC did the same thing against Vick. I don't know if that's more of an indictment on the Eagles Receiving Corp or the QB playing.

Over Still's in one league.

I dropped him before last weekend in another after I was forced into staring him week 8 and got crap from him ugh...

I fully expecting a turd this week like every other time he's been in my lineup.

With the soft schedule coming up, Cooper will be plugged into my lineup every week going forward. TD machine.

He clearly has a very good chemistry with Cooper, gonna be hard to keep him on the bench moving forward unless you're loaded at WR.
