We'll start with a two-hour clock on Thursday.

What do we usually do, like 8 to 5 local time for each person?

:bye:I was gonna post all the picks at rotodugout for you, but it died. Where should I put them instead? Also, what about college football bids?
Made a post on the bids in the league thread over here at FBG. Just send the bids to me here and I'll get them posted when I have access tomorrow (approx 5 PM CT). As for getting ahold of me during work hours, lets try Bruce Zone. (brucezone.com/forums) I'll be calculating VORP for this era, by hand, to pass the time until I hear from you. Good luck. :bye:

I have a question about Mays. '65 was clearly a better offensive year for him than '64, but '64s salary is a million $$$ more than his '65 year is. The only advantage for the '64 year is some extra speed, defensive eligibility and a few more plate appearances... but that doesn't seem like enough to make up for the difference in OPS

You pretty much nailed the differences, especially the plate appearances (which WIS weighs very heavily when determining price) and not just defensive versatility, but A/A+ defense at firstWhether those things are worth more than the OPS, etc is up to you; can't really go wrong with eitherYou can also see how the rest of your draft goes before deciding; maybe you decide that Mays at 1st gives you a better overall team later depending on relative depth of positions

HOMER ALERT!!! HOMER ALERT

1.10 Jim Bunning - SP

Stadium Pick

Connie Mack Stadium

Philadelphia, PA Philadelphia Phillies

1953-1970

Mickey Mantle, OF

Would have been a top 5 pick with 100 more plate appearances, I'll cobble together those 100 pretty easily

Mantle at Wrigley = $$

Last GameChanger available IMO

Hard to believe such WIS veteran stalwarts like Kraft and Tre weren't invited to participate

The champion of this WIS is going to have a big old * next to his name

Redraft.

We cant do this without two FOUNDING MEMBERS

Kraft is a top three owner and arguably the top ranked overall throughout our history. Tre is way up there, just needing that ring.

I know its uncalled for, but I am dead serious about a redraft. This is an affront to nature.

Finally I get a decent effing pitcher and now we're talking about a redraft. Just my mother ####### luck.

I'd be fine with the 1961 format; two 9 team divisions, winners face off in the World Series

Tre and Kraft could be slotted in at 16 and 17 pretty easily

Making a pick assuming if we add Kraft and TRE we would just add them to the end of the round, just to keep things moving.

**** Allen, 3B

And I can not belive that Mantle almost fell to me.

A redraft doesn't really achieve anything in of itself, as we can add Tre and Kraft without changing anything else

If Tre and Kraft want to be apart of this WIS and are willing to be 16th and 17th I say we just go to the 1961 format

If not, let's continue as is and just make sure we do a better job of informing peeps going forward for future SIMs

I think with the more flexible league options at WIS we'll be able to run these with a bit more frequency, as we don't need to rope in 24 guys EVERY time
