Official World Cup 2010 Fantasy League (1 Viewer)

I guess no offer is coming for Robben so Ill take Ribery and Lampard. As a Pool fan that kills me.

I doubt he'll score as many goals as some of the guys he was drafted around, but he'll have more assists. Plus, he gets more points for goals as a MF and gets a point for each shutout. Most importantly, playing for Brazil gives him the best chance to play the most games possible. I think he'll be right in the mix for most points scored.
I think by that criteria, I probably would have preferred Xavi. Refresh my memory. Does Kaka generally take Brazil's PK's or other set pieces?
Xavi doesn't score goals at all really, and that puts him at a major disadvantage. Kaka may not be as productive as a top tier striker, but in the 11 qualifying games he scored 5 goals, and got 2 more in the 5 games of the Confederations Cup. Xavi didn't have a goal in either competition. He did get some goals in the European Championship, but he certainly isn't as consistent a goal scorer as Kaka.

I like the Lamps pick. He was unbelievably dreadful in '06, so he has something to prove. He's coming off a great season, even for him. And as the designated PK taker in a group including the US and Algeria, he's a lock to have a few goals in the group stage at least.

I was having a pretty tough time figuring out who will be available when. Spent way too much of my day doing that. Glad Lampard is gone before my pick. Hate that ########.

 certain player on the board who I really, really want....but I don't think he'll be left near the end of the 3rd. Or will he?2.02 is a reach though.

Also trying to analyze the scoring to see where the value plays and positions will be there later.

Tough to pass on two specific players, one of whom plays just so beautifully.....but I'll embrace my rich German heritage (I'm not just a greasy Italian) with the dynamic Kraut with the hot girlfriend....

I fell in love with his play in '06. Now that Ballack isn't playing, I can actually cheer for Germany. I just hate that man.

Let's go people! Try to make it back to me before 7AM when I will not be awake.

Detroit agreed to swap draft spots with me since he sniped away Ronaldo.

2.06 Samuel Eto'o ST Cameroon

Was trying to decide between him and Drogba. Drogba might get 7 goals against Nrth Korea, but the rest of his games will be tough.

2.08 Rafael Van der Vaart / MF / Netherlands

(I double checked the ESPN site to make sure he's a MF. I thought for sure Robben was, but :lmao: )
