He's listed as a defender on the official Wiki as well as the official FIFA site. I certainly cant claim knowledge of where he usually plays, but it looks like he's a defender as far as the internet goes.

I can't find the Mexico wiki players but Carlos Salcido plays left back enough that he should be a Def and I heard he may play. I take him.
