Going to Comerica for first time for Friday night's game. What are the highlights? Where to eat/drink/piss...all the good stuff.

:boxing:
Some good info here

Pre-game you can go to Hockeytown Cafe or Old Shillelagh's are good spots, or anything in greektown really. If you are staying downtown you are fine to walk around to all the bars between park and Greektown. Use people mover if you want. Lafayette or American Coney Islands are kind of a Detroit specialty, lots to do in Midtown (Magic Stick will have awesome bands, Circa 1890 Saloon or Motor City Brewery all good) also before and after game.

I'd send you to Chick's Bar where I hang out when I'm home (I'm actually going to game Sunday), but you seem like a nice enough guy.

Bouzouki's is good stuff.
Cool...will check out some of them.

Thanks.

Rain, my ###. I think they cancelled the game in anticipation of the slaughter rule. Cleveland lost also, fortunately, but we need to get back on track here.

Not sure what section you are in but on the 1st level there is a Michigan microbrew beer stand...highly recommend this. They have done different food items as well

Beyond that there really isn't a good signature food item in the lark, just pretty standard fare

Pre or post game I'd recommend Park Bar...good beer selection and their Schwarma Sandwich is one of the best food items in Detroit

If you do hit Bouzuki hopefully the one girl will be there doing her beer bootle in the booty trick

If you plan on talking to people at close range I would not eat their schwarma before the game. It is very tasty but you will still be breathing garlic the next morning.

Do west coast teams psych them out? The team went flat in the W.S. last year, now Oakland comes to town for a pretty important series and we lay a few eggs.

VMart up to .294 ...crazy from where he was.

This team is not playing like a championship team. Good in a lot of spots, but we really need Fister and Verlander to get on track. Porcello may be in the post season rotation the way things are going. Getting a more consistent production out of Prince would be huge too.

I noticed Felix Hernandez got rocked big time the other night (Max moves to #3 on current ERA listing). Also, no AL pitcher other Max has reached 15 wins yet ..a few still stuck at 14 for quite a while. The dog days of August. Hopefully this is a quick dip then we get it going again.

13 hits and three runs. The other night it was 11 runners in the first four innings and one run, in the first game they had a ton of hits and couldn't score. Terrible starting pitching for a change, but the offense can't come up with any big hits whatsoever. Low point of the season is today IMO.

Good reverse jinx here.

WOW. So cool to check back in and see that surprising final! Nice game for Prince (and VMart of course).

Saw the clip of Miggy. Why was he even trying to go to second? He only jogged his way to first to begin with.

not liking this Igleases kid. No power to get a double and no speed to get home on a short single.

Bah, we need an upgrade.

Peace

One of the best defensive shortstops in the majors whose bat has been adequate. A future All-Star who will be a major contributor every game on defense. He may not be a speedster, but he is not slow. There aren't many who are an upgrade.

Sigh, is it schtick if i have to explain it? I mean I like MX, he is usually sharp...alright I will break it down.

At 8:04 last night, the kid hits a sharp double. At 8:05, Jackson hits a weak ground ball that glances off the fielder's glove into the outfield, the kid legs it all the way home from second. At 8:08, I post.

Peace
