Ok, who's starting Wali this week? (1 Viewer)

I'm seriously considering starting Wali Lundy this week over K. Jones. I don't like Jones matchup with Seattle at all, and have been impressed with the way Wali has looked so far. I think Kubiac's system fits him perfectly. Not too scared about Dayne getting GL looks either.

Only concern is that he may not get as many carries as I am hoping.

Anyone else giving him the nod?

I might stick him in there if Portis can't go. I don't see Dayne as being a factor this week(or any other for that matter).

Generally I'll never start a wildcard right out of the gate over something more proven. I'd want to see some production first. Then again, it's Kevin Jones.

i think im starting him at one of my 2 WR/Rb positions. So ill be starting him over guys like mike anderson, braylon edwards, morency, mewelde moore and one of either deangelo williams (we give points for return yards) or lee evans.

My other option is Rhodes. I hate having a decision like this all year long. Would be nice to see K. Jones become an every week starter...I won't hold me breath.

I like Lundy though. Even though we haven't seen him in a complete game, he's been running vs the 1st string def in preseason, and putting up good numbers.

I'll probably start him over Portis. I'd like to make sure that shoulder is good to go first.

It's being reported locally that Portis is good to go for monday night(according to Portis). Gibbs said yesterday that it would be up to Portis. We'll see but it looks like he's going to play.

I think I'll feel better after I watch him take a hit or two on that shoulder.

I'd go with Rhodes. I'd rather have 50% of the carries in a great offense than 70-80% in a mediocre or bad one.

I'm starting him over Bills WR Lee Evans this week. The only reason I'm starting Lundy is because my league gives PPR. I'm hesitant b/c NE's secondary is awful. But I believe the Lundi hype, AND the Texans are playing at home, so I think he wants to make an impression. We'll see how it works out. Here's my lineup as of now:QB: BulgerRB: Ronnie Brown, Chester TaylorWR: Torry Holt, Santana MossFlex: Wali LundyTE: GatesK: Matt StoverD: MiamiLet the FUN begin.. :banned:

How much more do you like Lundy against Philly? They're not the same soft D they were last year. Their first string was completely dominating against first string offenses in the preseason. Plus the additions of Howard and Bunkley on the line really shore things up for them. Besides that I see Houston passing alot this weekend. Could be a decent start, but I'm not overly optimistic here. At least not till I see him play a few games.

I will be starting him ahead of Reggie Bush, Willie Parker, and Frank Gore. The only reason I am starting him though is because of a rule in my league that states if an undrafted free agent rookie gets five starts, he becomes a franchise player.

This is not a good idea. I know Ben is out and Ward is ??, but Parker should still post good numbers. He is borderline must start, IMO.

I traded Lundy for Antonio Bryant. I am in a keeper league and I believe Bryant has a better future than Lundy. Then again knowing my luck Lundy will be a 1500 yard guy. I am thinking it is going to be rbbc there.

I have the same options for a final flex. It's a ppr league, right now I have Rhodes over Lundy but by only a bit. You think ppr gives one the edge over the other?

I might start him over Portis depending on the news. My other option is Kevin Jones... I view them similarly (probably will both end up with about the same stats at the end of the year).

Something for you to think about: How many times do receivers in their 6th+ year improve after avergaing 13 games, 42 receptions, 620 yards and 3 TDs per year for their first 5 years in the league? I bet not many...

I'm going with Lundy over:

T. Bell

R. Bush

T. Henry

Andre Johnson(This is the one I struggled over)

It's PPR so either or I guess. I just think RB over WR if you can.

As will I. Of course I'd prefer that he not take any hits on that particular shoulder for the first game or 2. :D

I'd still go with Rhodes. It's unclear to me how much either back will be featured in the passing game.
