Ahh yes, freeing up that cap money gave them room to sign...
Not sure if acquire is the right word...I think we are all wondering why they wouldn’t pay him.Too bad Oakland doesn't have a guy like this.
Gruden told me on the Hard Knocks intro that they were planning to win right now so I don't get why they wouldn't go out and acquire a guy like this....
Chargers acquired OLB Khalil Mack from the Bears in exchange for 2022 second-round pick and 2023 sixth-round pick.
That is extremely light trade compensation for someone who remained one of the league's very best defensive players before his injury-ruined 2021. Not only is Mack not fetching a Day 1 pick, only one of the selections are for this spring. That, obviously, is an indication of a cratered market after Mack battled foot issues before turning 31 last month. It could be a roaring steal for the Chargers. It signals a top-to-bottom rebuild for a picks-starved Bears just that just flat out is not good right now. That bodes poorly for Justin Fields' development. As for Mack in L.A., head coach Brandon Staley was adept at moving around his superstar defensive chess pieces with the Rams. Staley also coached Mack in Chicago, so the duo knows each other well. If Mack is healthy, he and Joey Bosa are going to straight up terrorize the AFC West's superstar quarterbacks.

Same. 18 starter IDP league, went for 132 (!) on the owner's bench where 350 to 400 is a good week.A man possessed today.
In IDP big-play scoring he had 85 in one of my leagues & 97.8 in the other.
1 dude. That’s a league where ~350 is a really good week.
He was on the bench for both owners, respectively. I was not one, or I’d be committing seppuku.

Eight-time Pro-Bowl DE and former NFL Defensive Player of the Year Khalil Mack will remain a Los Angeles Charger this season and free up salary-cap space for the team by agreeing to restructure his deal, per sources. Mike Williams leaves, Mack stays.
