We are looking for players who are interested in something different. If this league seems "old school" it's because it is -- it was founded 30+ years ago. The commish used to mail out weekly results and we used a voicemail line for all lineups and roster moves! Started in the Bay Area but membership has now shifted to guys from all over the country, from CO to VT.
We use Yahoo and are looking for several new players and are open to using Leaguesafe if enough new people show interest. Total buy-in is $365 of which $300 goes into the league plus $5/week goes towards a skins pot during the fantasy regular season (first 13 weeks) and goes to the highest scorer during the week as long as he/she beats the average weekly high score up to that point, otherwise the pot rolls over to the next week. League payout is 100% with $1900 to the winner, $700 to second place, $400 to third, $300 to fourth, $200 to fifth and $100 to sixth.
Playoffs include top 4 seeds according to win/loss record plus fifth and sixth seeds awarded to the two teams among the remaining eight with the most regular season points scored.
Toilet bowl incorporates a format in which the losers advance. The toilet bowl team which then loses all its match-ups pays the league winner $100. This incentivizes toilet bowl teams to set their lineups.
League format: 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 1K, 6 Bench (there is an active waiver wire)
Scoring: all TDs are 3 points including passing TDs; 1 point for 10 rushing yards; 1 point for 10 receiving yards; 1 point for 20 passing yards; 1 point for FGs <30 yards; 2 points for 30-39 yard FGs; 3 points for 40-49 yard FG's; 5 points for >=50 yard FGs (all in all, it's a "performance" league)
