We have seen many threads about draft strategies, including useful threads on drafting at certain spots. The OMEGA 10 drafts (12 teams, PPR) are now complete and those leagues are as tough as any. Does anyone have any interesting things to share from the OMEGA drafts?
I'll start with one from my league where a team used the stud WR theory @ pick 10.
QB
Young
Cutler
RB
Benson
Foster
D. Williams
McAllister
Dayne
WR
Smith
Johnson
Glenn
Cotchery
Booker
Bowe
TE
L.J. Smith
Da. Clark
K
Scobee
D
Chargers
Seahawks
Glenn and Cotchery makes for a good #3 WR. All said, this team has better RBs IMO than I would expect to see with a stud WR team. As a Panther homer, I don't envy this team trying to decide between Foster and Williams each week. However, I can easily see McAllister as the safer bet over the Carolina RBs. It was nice to see someone think outside the box for a change. Say what you want about his starting RBs, but his draft to me defies the notion that you have only a wasteland of RBs if you don't select any in rounds 1-2.
