On 2nd thought, I'm starting _______ over _______ (1 Viewer)

Surprised at all the people benching Rudolph. I'm starting him everywhere with confidence.
Hey Kutta, don't think it's Rudolph dislike but more about other options. Some feel like Ertz or maybe other options are juicier.
Kelce, Ertz, Miller, Green, and Olson are all getting started over Rudolph. I would start Rudolph over all those guys without stressing about it at all.
:goodposting:

Norv is his new offensive coordinator and he has had an excellent preseason. I can't imagine benching the guy. I see a top 3-4 TE season from him (depending on Gronk's health).

I think both of you make compelling reasons. I'm certainly not telling folks to bench Rudolph but I don't think the Vikings are going to be an offensive juggernaut today either vs the Rams.

I like Olsen and Benjamin more without Cam. With no Cam, Derek Anderson will be looking to his safety blankets, I think that will he Olsen and Benjamin.

I am also confused about people benching Kyle Rudolph. I am starting him over everyone besides Jimmy Graham. Norv Turner has a track record of getting the TE the ball, especially with a solid pass rush. Cassell will be dumping the ball off to Rudolph all day long. I could see Rudolph with 8-9 receptions at the end of the day. Even with less than average receiving numbers, the guy will still get double digit points. Just my opinion of course.

I've been seriously considering trying to catch lightning in a bottle and putting Sproles in at FLEX over Olsen. Had him in for a bit last night and then flip flopped back to Olsen.

Shaun Hill over Cam and Derek Anderson. Can already tell it's going to be one of those years. :shrug:
Maybe Shaun Hill will be this year's Kurt Warner? I always thought in the right situation he could have been a decent QB after watching him in Detroit. He was thrown into bad situations in Detroit, at least he has had a little time to prepare in St Louis. I think he has a solid game. I like his weapons there and I think Britt has a comeback season.

I think that's a mistake if you are looking for feedback. I couldn't sit Olsen even with a back up for Sproles.

How are you guys feeling about R White over J Bell. I keep going back and forth on it
In a PPR I dont think you can ever sit Roddy White. I live J. Bell this year and looking at his numbers, he has had more receptions than Reggie Bush. That is a tough call but I think Atlanta is going to have to score to keep up. Should be a shoot out. Julio should be pulling all the double coverages. Bell has a good chance to score.

I see your predicament.

R Wayne over Crabtree. Have to decide prior to 1 PM. Like Crabtree more if i knew he was going to play, but i don't think the drop off to Wayne is huge and don't want to risk a 0

I would play White. I'm not saying Bell won't end up being a better flex play as the year goes on, but I would want to see a couple weeks of his usage before I committed to playing him over White.

It's a non-PPR but still tough. Not knowing what the Detroit offense looks like and all the mouths to feed worry me a little but the Saints D pretty tough as well. May just go with White and hope for the best

I have serious doubts that Kenny Britt an Brian Quick will be part of the greatest show on turf.

I am starting G Tate over VJax in a flex. Had VJax penciled in all year. Some hunch, some fearing a low scoring Tampa/Carolina game

Bucs D over Jets. Hope it's not dumb.
Either one of these is a great play this week. Jets are ranked a little higher this week, but that should even up if Cam sits. Especially since Carr has had starter reps for 2 weeks versus Anderson getting off the couch. The problem is that this is the late game and the Jets play early. With the uncertainty, I will still roll with the Jets.

Not saying that but Tavon Austin, Britt and Quick may be better than people are expecting. Britt really has a chip on his shoulder and has something to prove. He is back with Fisher, where he had his successful seasons and he has talent. Tavon Austin may be better without needing to shoulder the load and Quick seems to have figured it out a little in the off season.

I like Sproles' upside a lot in Kelly's offense, but Olsen is just too solid, and I think I need to see something out of Sproles before rolling him out there. I agree that it's a mistake, which is why I flopped back to Olsen. Like a poster above mentioned, I like Olsen even better with Cam out.

I am not too sure about this one. I'm a believer in playing my studs--and I would definitely say that Vjax is a bigger stud than G Tate. Even if Tate ends up with more points today--I feel like this play is a bit too much on the cute side. I'd go Vjax--but good luck

Great thread! I have to decide between TY Hilton, Vereen and Ingram for my last flex spot, already burned by Lacy's poor week so at the moment leaning toward the big play upside of TY over the other two. Don't quite trust Vereen's usage until I see it and Ingram, well have high hopes for the year but need to see his touch distribution first too.

Olsen's last 4 games over the last 2 years vs the Bucs...

@TB 6/56 wk 1/2012

TB 2/42

@TB 3/21/TD

TB 5/85

2 games with 5 or more catches, 1 TD in 4 games, can't see how having Cam out helps him.

Mathews over Martin and Morris. All 3 are comparable backs but I don't like Martin's matchup at all. Despite the Mankins addition, I think they will struggle week 1 against a strong Car front. It came down to Morris or Mathews and I think Mathews continues his production from the end of last year. Looking for 100/1 on Monday night.
Rather easy call.

Justin Hunter over Cordarrelle.

I was leaning that way anyway, and with Peterson out I'm 100% convinced Belichek does everything in his power to stop Cordarrelle. This is even a return yardage league and I'm still sitting him. Belichek has historically schemed to take away the opponent's best weapon.

leaning toward starting Cooks over Patterson in a couple leagues (including a return yardage league). I could see an implosion by the Vikes' o this week given the circumstances and the short notice of Peterson being out.

And? All defensive coaches do that and all offensive coaches historically scheme to get the ball to their best weapons.
