On the Clock in the rookie/FA draft: 2.02 & 2.03 (1 Viewer)

Dynasty/Contract PPR league start QB / 1-2 RB / 2-3 WR / TE

QBs: D. Brees
RBs: T. West, D. Lewis, Duke Johnson, T. Coleman, D. Booker  :X
WRs: O. Beckham, D Bryant, L. Treadwell, K. White
TEs: R. Gronjowski, T. Eifert, K. Rudolph

Draft so far: L. Fournette C. Davis, C. McCaffrey, J. Mixon, D. Cook, O.J. Howard, M. Gillislee, A. Kamara, M. Williams, K. Hunt, Z. Jones, E. Engram, D. Njoku

I'm on the clock with back to back picks at 2.02 and 2.03 and up again at 3.03.

Clearly, this team needs some help.

Draft: The top players on the board (according to general rankings are) J. Ross and S. Perine with as a FA M. Lynch sitting there.  Also, K. Galladay has attracted my attention recently.  Now I don't have strong opinions on the rookies as I don't watch much college ball but Ross does scare me as there is a lot of competition for targets in Cincinnati but things do change quickly.  I do like the arrow on Galladay.

Trade: Some offers are coming in but one that has my attention is 2.03 and K. Rudolph for 2.09 and Ty Montgomery

So do I take the trade if so, who do I pick at 2.02?

I'm leaning towards taking the trade and picking Ross at this pick.

So please let me know:
Do I take the trade and pick who at 2.02?
Don't take the trade and pick which two at 2.02 & 2.03?

If you give some further explanation, that would be very excellent of you.

Edit to add: Leaning towards taking the trade, grabbing Perine (or Lynch?) and then grabbing the BPA at 2.09.

I understand you like golladay, and if you want to get him I'd take the deal and move back. He should be there at 2.09 I would think. Your immediate needs says maybe take lynch (if you're trying this year) and Perine. Or take the deal and move back, and take Jamal Williams now so you have him and Montgomery. Reaching a little maybe but it hedges your bet. He won't last too far into rd 2.

Can you post the draft up to now? Really like picks 6-12, I imagine kamara/hunt/the tes are gone? Zay jones maybe should be in the conversation if he's there.

Since I only need to start 1 RB, I can try to roll with just Montgomery (with West as a backup) and restock at WR.  It would leave me very thin at RB but I think I want to take the BPA.

I'm also not sure about taking Williams. I get it would hedge my bet but if I go RB I'd rather go for gold and grab Perine or Lynch and possibly have two starters.

The more I think about it, the more I think of passing on Lynch.

BTW, draft so far is in the original post.  Take a look and let me know if that changes anything for you.

Sry didn't see that somehow in the original post. I'd be concerned rolling out ty as my every week rb because he has had some fumbling issues going back to last year. Williams is a legit back, don't sleep on him. I liked Perine thru the summer but he hasn't been able to unseat Kelley. Ross is a nice prospect but may not give you much this year. I guess you have to decide if you're trying to compete this year.

As a lions fan, I like golladay and the opportunity but he's also 24 already so there may not be a lot of room to grow. I think he has some splash plays and scores some tds this year but overall upside may be capped.

I would be really worried rolling out Monty as rb1, and west would likely be in your starting lineup with dez/obj. I get the need to restock wr but you may be better served trying to move a pick for an established guy (or package white/2.03 for a decent upgrade). If you're going for it this year that may be your best bet.

I think you have the juice to compete but your flex would be weak and you'd have no depth. Don't be afraid to take the guy you want even if it goes against the norm. If you like Ross, take him, if you like Kenny g, take him.

Personally I would take the deal and take Foreman at 2.02 and hope to get either Galloday or Jamaal Williams at 2.09 like Snorkelson said to hedge your bet a little, if you choose to go that route.  Either way I'd feel confident coming out of the draft with at least a RB in Monty plus 2 picks of whatever you decide.
