We all know there's lots of question marks, and opinions on the value of Jay Cutler, now that he'll be playing in the Windy City. So with that said, if you're on the clock in a dynasty draft, which QB would you draft, Jay Cutler or Matt Ryan?

But he would be #4 on my wishlist for sure of the QB's out there today that I would want to have as my franchise QB. I could not be happier today even with giving up those picks.

Matt Ryan has the better running back, left tackle, star wide receiver, and plays his late season games at home in a dome. He also doesn't have to learn a new system, teammates, and coaching staff with uprooting his family like Jay Cutler does. Add in Matty Ice's relative mental stability and track record of success and he's the easy choice for me.

As a dynasty QB, Matt Ryan is the surest player entering their second season since Peyton Manning.

Switch them around and put Cutler in ATL and I probably take Cutler but it's more of a toss up.

Never live on yesterday's news. Ryan will be a better FF QB in 2009. You not only have to factor in that Chicago doesn't have many decent WRs, but the biggest factor is offensive scheme. The Bears won't throw it like they did in Denver, even if they had great WRs.

You can make a legit argument for Brees clearly, but I will take Cutler and his upside over Brees today. That could easily be just because of the high that I am on for the Bears actually making this move and I am willing to accept that, but I personally believe that Cutler and the tools that he has can more help the Bears than Brees and the tools that he has to offer. I love Brees though, don't get me wrong.

Dynasty wise i'd take Ryan. he is far less likely to implode a team really. Cutler has a better arm, but he's not as smart and willing to sacrifice/be a team guy as Ryan.

There's a few different ways to look at this. In real football I'd take Ryan and it's a very easy decision. Ryan has a chance to be a Brady/Aikman type of QB (i.e. a QB you win championships with). The kid has great skills, nice size and is a big time leader who both his teammates and coaching staff will have the utmost trust, respect and confidence in. He's also great with the media and is a guy that will be nothing but a positive off the field. I was fortunate to watch his career firsthand and he's the best pro prospect I've ever seen at BC and they've had some quality pros over the years...and it's really not close.

In a redraft I'd go with Cutler. Even though he has less weapons to work with him than he had in Denver I think he'll be on a mission this year and will put up very good numbers. The fact he played in Denver will be a plus as he'll be no stranger to the cold-weather. I do think Chicago adding another veteran WR or two that they can count on is important because they have a subpar WR unit and there's little depth as well (I think Olsen could be a real stud this year and Forte will continue his 2008 form). As for Ryan I think he'll make a nice jump statswise in 2009 (i.e. become a legit fantasy starter) but I think he's still a year away from upper-tier numbers.

In Dynasty/Keeper it gets dicey. Cutler is very intriguing as he has big-time throwing skills and it's real easy to see a scenario where he's a fantasy force for quite sometime. Yet, I'm somewhat concerned he might be the type of player that wears out his welcome wherever he goes. On the flipside I have zero worries about Ryan. He's going to be an elite player for quite sometime and the fact he plays in a warm-weather division as well as a dome is another positive. I'd go with Ryan long-term because I have little doubt he'll be very productive and I'd rather stick with that constant than roll the dice with Cutler.
