ONLINE DRAFT SATURDAY AUGUST 29TH (1 Viewer)

Gigantomachia

Footballguy
Hi fellow FBG's. So Giggy has taken over a league I have been part of for 15 years and which has been in existence since 1982!! Now this shows in the league's scoring system, which has tons of points, and in some of the limited bonuses and such, but it is a super fun league with a great core of guys. Being this old, however, we have begun to lose guys here and there and really need to expand a bit. We use FanStar which is very interactive and fun to create your team's "attitude," and it also allows for us to use the online drafting feature, i.e., you can take part in the draft and the league from anywhere!!!

So if you are interested PM me and I will email you the league rules and such. As soon as I get an affirmative that you would like to sign up I will email you a link the your team webpage. I only have two maybe three spots open.

Right on,

Gig out.

ETA: We draft IDP and start 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 K, 2 DL, 2 LB, and 2 DB.

Also, if you live near Eugene, OR you are welcome to come to the live draft as well!

Per request, here are the basics.

Dump that Chump/Free Agents: As per last year you will be able to drop and acquire players through the website. Here are the new guidelines:1. NEW! The team with the lowest overall score gets first choice at free agents, the next lowest score getssecond choice, etc. The new website allows us to put in our free agent picks and then awards the playeraccording to which team with lowest score takes him first, up to the deadline which we can vote on at thedraft; after the deadline it will be a free for all until kickoff of that week.2. Your first transaction each week will cost you $2, each additional transaction in the same week will cost$5. No limit!3. NEW! Rather than allowing for dumps in the first two weeks as we did last year, I have added two extraplayers to our original rosters that you can add at any time during the first two weeks.4. I would like to consider trades as well, though I leave this up to a group vote at the draft. This newsoftware has a tool that allows us to vote on trades as a league so there will not be any concern withunfair trades and such. Think about it, we can talk at the draft.Payouts: #1 and #2 will be paid out of our entry fees only, while #3 and #4 will be paid out of money collected fromfree agent transactions only.1. The top 5 teams—assuming 12-15 entries—at the end of the season will be paid. (1st gets half of total, 2nd getshalf of remaining total, etc., etc.)2. The highest scoring team each week gets paid $20.3. The top weekly team score all season will get paid an additional $50 (depending on pool).4. NEW!! The highest scoring player at the end of the year for each position will get paid a bonus (player mustbe in starting lineup to qualify/payout dependent upon pool).Lineups: Starting lineups must be entered via the website at fanstar.com (deadline to be set at draft). If you are unableto get to a computer, call 541-359-0644 and leave your picks on voicemail. As this is a computer-based phone, itrecords the exact time the call comes in, so no tricksters! Be aware that some weeks may start as early as Thursday, including Week 1.New Scoring Changes:1. Lost fumble = -25 pts. (It has never made sense to me why it does not cost points when somestupid player drops the ball and turns it over. It will now.)2. We will vote at the draft whether or not to award IDP’s +50 pts., for any tackle for a loss ofyardage that is not a sack (they keep those stats these days you know).Survivor: Pick the winner of one NFL game each week (no point spreads) without selecting the same team more thanonce. If your team wins you advance. If your team loses you are eliminated. The last survivor wins all. $5 to play (Iwould play in a $10 pool on the side as well if there are any takers). Entries due by Thursday, September 6, 2007.Unless the first survivor pool extends beyond week 10, a second survivor pool will begin the second week followingthe deciding week of Survivor 1.League Rules and ScoringIndividual Team MakeupSTARTING LINEUP:1 Quarterback2 Running Backs3 Wide Receiver or Tight End1 Kicker2 Defensive Backs (Cornerback or Safety)2 Linebackers2 Defensive Line (DT or DE)+13 Bench Warmers (two added post-draft)ScoringTouchdown 100 pts.Field goal 50 pts.P.A.T 50 pts.2 pt. One, maybe two spots left.

Coolest and most likely the oldest league around. Started in 1982! Did you hear me? Some of you were just being born for christ's sake, and the rest more than likely had never heard of FF in the 80's. Too much disco and butt rock.

Let me know if you are interested, time is running out . . . . . . . . .
