Giants are the pick of the week it seems. Everytime TIKI Barber dissed them they won so RONDE Barber tried his luck and lost, now MARION Barber will say something and The G-Men will need just one more BARBER to make a QUARTET!

For those who like Indy, I'd get in early before difinitive news about Gates toe arrives.

My guess is he doesn't play. If so, I think the line moves to Colts-10.

3 Team, 10 point teaser:

01/12/08 Seahawks(Seattle) +18

01/12/08 Patriots(NewEngland) -1.5

01/13/08 Colts(Indianapolis) +2

I'm curious to see if the NE-JAX line moves with a clearer weather picture. Last long range forecast showed 40s & showers (60%). 12 is a big number to cover for NE if the weather slows the passing game some.

I like all of the underdogs, to be honest. I see all 4 games as being very close and I wouldn't be surprised if we saw an overtime game or two.

Playoffs and its this high. Well Jax looks like an easy one, they just dont get blown out even if its the PatsDallas probably smashes NYG by 10SD looks like a good play as they always match up well though they are playing badly. Cromartie and Q.Jammer seem key to the game being close.

Seattle wins in GB outright. They're playing well on both sides of the ball, and I'm convinced Favre will try to win the game early, making crucial mistakes, as he has shown a propensity for in the playoffs since 11997. I think NE wins by 2TD's, so I think they cover against J'Ville. If the rains don't come, it'll be much worse. If the weather is sloppy, they probably wont cover. I can't understand why SD is such a dog. They beat the colts earlier this year. Granted it was in SD, but this is crazy. Rivers actually showed some spunk, though I don't expect the Colts to let receivers run free all day. I could have hit most of the guys he hit yesterday. Still, I have this game with the Chargers +2 without Gates, and +5 with. The Colts have theier work cut out for them. It's essentially a toss up game for me. I could see it breaking either way. I think the Giants get blown out. Eli Manning can't have his brother channeling through him, because he' has to play this weekend as well. The Gmen have played 2 great games offensively. It all comes crashing back to earth this week.

Last year was an abberation as the home teams in the divisional round were 2-2 SU and 0-4 ATS, but home teams are historically the most dominant in the divisional round moreso than in any other round. You cannot underestimate the importance of having that first round bye.

Considering that the Giants were the only winning team this past weekend that looked particularly impressive all-around, I am not surprised that the lines are as high as they are.

I think the Giants are the road team most likely to win, simply because their opponent, Dallas, has looked the most vulnerable lately. A lot of things have to fall into place just right for either the Chargers or the Jags to win. Not sure if Green Bay will cover that line, but I do see them winning the game.

winning 7 in a row is playing badly? While I dont expect the Bolts to win, I think they cover with or without Gates

I like all the dogs this week except for Indy. San Diego struggled at home against a depleted Tennessee team. If they come out of the gate like that next week they're down 21-0 at halftime. The Chargers needed the worst game ever by Manning and a missed FG by Mr. Clutch to eek out a win at home earlier this year. I doubt that happens again.

GB will beat a one dimension Seattle team but Seattle's good enough to keep it close. Giants are hot while Dallas is not and will put a scare into the Cowboys. New England will beat the Jags but 12 is a huge number for a playoff game.

Man..I'm not so sure. SD looked horrible yesterday & if they were playing just about anybody else in the playoffs.. I'm quite certain they would of lost..

I'd go with the dogs and Indy.

NE will win but they have not been dominent as they were earlier in the year, the same for the Cowboys. Seattle very likely could win in GB but it is unlikely that GB could cover this large of a spread.

Indy is giving up a lot but SD does not look good and Indy can make teams pay if they are not prepared.

Seattle(+8) @ Green Bay

GNB wins 27-21.

Jax(+12) @ New England

This one will not be as close as the talking heads claim. My algorithm suggests it will be >2 TD victory for NWE.

San Diego(+8 1/2) @ Indy

This one, conversely, will be much closer than people think---I say 26-20 IND.

NY Giants(+7 1/2) @ Dallas

Assuming that TO is healthy, Dallas wins by 10 or more.

Just my $0.02---and I'm not even betting that much, so don't take my word for it :goodposting:

I'm really bad at this sort of thing, but I'll officially go for:

Packers -8

Patriots -12

Chargers +8.5 (Colts win)

Giants +7.5 (Giants win)
