Talk about a way to kick off the new season. There will be a FREE kickoff party on Thursday, September 10th at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas. It starts at 4:30 local time and will include food, drinks, the game and more. While it's sponsored by the FFPC and Hole4 Entertainment you do NOT have to be entered in their contest to attend the party. All fantasy players are invited. I just got off Southwest's website to change my flight just so I could attend this party and watch the Thursday game in Vegas. I always wanted to already be out there instead of traveling Friday, but this was the perfect impetus to get me there a little earlier. Thanks Alex and Dave.

Here I was all set to draft online and they announce this. Now it's got me looking at flight schedules. Not that seeing all of you in person isn't worth the trip, but when they throw in the hot servers, well...

A quick update to this - the FFPC and Hole4 have also arranged for discounted rooms at Planet Hollywood. They will be posting the discount code on the FFPC site shortly. While I realize many people get comped, for those that don't this is a pretty good deal. And it makes it easy to stagger back to your room after the party.

Updating this with some specifics. Now this is how you kick off the NFL season. Invite ALL fantasy players - you don't even need to be playing in the FFPC - to a party where you can watch the game, eat and drink for free, and talk fantasy with other high stakes players. The FFPC is fast becoming the place for high stakes players to be.
