I think in order to receive an organ, your DL must have that box checked. Otherwise, see ya.Being an organ donor is one of the most thoughtful actions a person can take. Everyone should be one.
They were looking to donate my 75 year old MILs when she passedAre you an organ donor?
Is there an age limit on it? For example, if I'm 95 years old, would my 95 year old organs really be of much use to someone else?
I'd be ok with everyone being a donor unless they opted out.Think we did this once or twice before. Dumbfounded at the number of people here who are not donors. More dumbfounded by how proud some of the non-donors are of this fact. Strange business, that. Remember MOP proudly boasting about not being a donor, but that's not surprising to me based on his narcissism.
Everyone should NOT be one.Being an organ donor is one of the most thoughtful actions a person can take. Everyone should be one.
Would you want the organs of a habitually drug user, smoker and alcoholic being placed into your body? Why on earth would you think this?
Assuming that my own organs no longer worked? Sure thing!Would you want the organs of a habitually drug user, smoker and alcoholic being placed into your body?
Well good for you, I guess.Assuming that my own organs no longer worked? Sure thing!
Not sure about that one, GM, a true narcissist thinks other people deserve the best organs. It will please me to give others the blessing of my organs after I'm dead.Think we did this once or twice before. Dumbfounded at the number of people here who are not donors. More dumbfounded by how proud some of the non-donors are of this fact. Strange business, that. Remember MOP proudly boasting about not being a donor, but that's not surprising to me based on his narcissism.
Why, are you a habitual drug user, smoker and alcoholic?Well good for you, I guess.
Mine are going to burn up with me.
This.Being an organ donor is one of the most thoughtful actions a person can take. Everyone should be one.
I would think that 'donation' is not only to people, but to science, so it would still be helpful, even at that age.eoMMan said:Are you an organ donor?

This. I have to believe that science would love to get their hands on some of mine. My will says to take everything that can be reused and help someone else, take the stuff I've ruined if any of it can be useful for study, and burn the rest.I would think that 'donation' is not only to people, but to science, so it would still be helpful, even at that age.
A beanie weenie? My DL says "ORGAN DONOR" in big green letters, so yes I am..
though I'm considering having the wiener bronzed and repurposed as a hat rack
I'm pretty sure your organ will be too worn out for reuse.Yes, even registered to donate my eyes and organ tissue. They can have it all when I'm done with them.
Dude you never know, someone's pissed off husband could pop me when I leave the office today.I'm pretty sure your organ will be too worn out for reuse.
would also be OK with it used as a slot machine handleA beanie weenie?
How about as a handle on the beer tap at your favorite watering hole?would also be OK with it used as a slot machine handle
as long as it didn't freak out the bartenders, sureHow about as a handle on the beer tap at your favorite watering hole?
What if it goes to a guy who plays for the other team?fatguyinalittlecoat said:I'm hoping that they transplant my penis onto someone else after I die so it can get some strange.
You sound like Mrs. SLB.pandora said:Would you want the organs of a habitually drug user, smoker and alcoholic being placed into your body?
If I'm dead I don't think I can afford to be choosy. What if it goes to a guy who plays for the other team?
I'm alive and feel the same way.If I'm dead I don't think I can afford to be choosy.
So, um, 2016 science has ways of determining whether or not the organs are "good" for reuse. You don't have to self-regulate this.pandora said:Would you want the organs of a habitually drug user, smoker and alcoholic being placed into your body?
On the flip side of that coin, does this mean that you would not accept a foreign organ into your body?Well good for you, I guess.
Mine are going to burn up with me.
Hold on now bud. Now it's my life you're talking about! On the flip side of that coin, does this mean that you would not accept a foreign organ into your body?
I think there's some religious objections of people who think they need all their kibbles and bits to enjoy heaven. Other than that, no, there's no legitimate reason.Assuming there are no medical reasons as to why not.... are there any legitimate reasons to not be a donor?
