Outlook for Grossman (1 Viewer)

Just checking out Grossman's match-ups the rest of the way, and they look pretty sweet:

vs. MIN - 242.5 passing YPG (#31 in NFL) and 12 passing TDs (T-#8)

@ STL - 189.3 (#10) and 16 TDs (#24)

vs. TB - 218.4 (#22) and 21 TDs (T-#30)

@ DET - 215.5 (#19) and 19 TDs (T-#26)

vs. GB - 232.7 (#29) and 21 TDs (T-#30)

For anyone who plays out the entire season and maybe hasn't hit the trade deadline, could be a hell of an opportunity considering the struggles that he's been having lately.

Thoughts?

I'm kind of worried about the Minnesota matchup. The Vikings always play the Bears pretty tough, and they were the first team to really give Grossman headaches this season. They gave up a lot of yardage late, IIRC, but Gorssman barely pulled off a servicable performance. Also, it remains to be seen that Rex can be consistent regardless of the level of the competition. And this comes from a Rex supporter. I've got V. Young and Garrard backing him up, and I honestly don't know that I'll be starting him again this season. He's a risky start against anyone at this point, IMO.

What about the fact that Chicago should clinch homefield by week 16? Grossman has been Mr. Glass thus far in his career, meaning the Bears may be best served by sitting him...

That's what I'm afraid of...Manning is my other QB, so both could be sitting come week 16.Adding to that the speculation that Griese will take over has me scrambling for a 3rd option, currently Harrington or Campbell. :o

Its at Chicago and Rex is good at home plus since then the Vikings i believe are last in the league in pass yardage allowed. Also it seems like Rex always rebounds nicely after a horrible performance. Just look at his game loghttp://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/players/6358/g...iaalfVCETj.uLYF

The weather in sweet home Chicago round this time, now thats a different animal

As long as the Bears o-line protects him, he will give you #1 QB stats versus the listed teams...

EDIT: Anyone know the status of Bears LT John Tait, I heard he injured his ankle in the Pats game and had to come out...

don't know abuot that. I also saw a report Rex got his hand cleated and I wonder if he'll be ok gripping the ball this week. I'm really worried. I have a lot on the line with this game and I consistently have chosen the wrong QB each week from my pile of Grossman, Leinart and Rothlisberger. right now I have Grossman pegged to start due to matchup being against Minny #31 pass D. After looking at the matchup logs on USATODAY I'm leaning to either Leinart or Roth, but I think I'll wait till the last minute.IN theory, Grossman should get you 250 and 2TD's with 1-2 INTS this week, which is plenty decent. I'm worried about him though, he's really stunk it up several times recently and could be the short leash, or injury problem with that hand.
