Over/Under on timschochet Crossing the 100,000 Post Threshold (1 Viewer)

SIDA!

Footballguy
The FFA's most prolific poster, timschochet recently vaulted into the all-time post count lead. His tally: 78,102 posts.

Tomorrow will mark his 7th year anniversary of joining FBG. With an annual post average of approximately 11,150 posts, he is on track to break 100,000 posts on/around Sept. 1, 2016.

The hamsters in the back are researching his posting trends to get a better idea of where to place the over/under line.

Each person is allowed one guess. All guesses must be submitted by the end of the month. I will send the winner a gift card of their choice for $25.

I find tim annoying sometimes- but it's strange to me to even give a thought about how much somebody else posts in here, let alone make a thread about it.

that's all I've got.

Have fun!

We're looking at 30.5 posts per day, on average. Assuming he sleeps 6 hours a day, works sometimes, eats, poops and pees and so on, I think that's about 10-11 hours of available posting time. Let's settle on 10 out of his 18 waking hours, which is pretty conservative. So, a little over 3 posts every EAPH (Estimated Available Posting Hour.)

With about 21,900 left, we're looking at 717 or so days. I'll say June 1st, 2016. I think he accelerates it a little towards the end as people begin throwing out congratulatory posts which he graciously responds to.

That is an average of almost 31 PPD, 365 days a year. Wilts 100 points in a game record will be broken first.

If I hadn't taken a while off I'd already be there. Have no idea when Tim will get there but I wish him good luck.

Floppo, the numbers and join date are right under each person's avatar. Kind of hard not to see it.

When I was really posting heavy I would put up over 50 a day. And I was usually here for at least a small part of every day.

What awesome shtick it would be to get to post 99,999 and then completely disappear, never to post under timschocet ever again. The buzz it would create would likely be audible around the world.

It took its toll on you and you left for awhile correct? ;) Even Cal Ripken said the stress of the record was too much to endure after awhile.

It wasn't the posting it was real life that took a toll. And since I've come back I try not to get into multiple day arguments on a subject. Even multipage arguments I try to avoid although that's harder to do. But back in the day I could and would argue through a thread for days. I am sure there are old threads around here where I had dozens of posts a day for several days running.

So now I pass Tim the torch and wish him the best.

In a deal parallel to the U2/Apple arrangement, there are rumors abound that the 100,000th post will be sponsored by Hebrew National and will feature coupons good for 1 free package of their "bun length" all-beef franks

Tim, can you confirm this?

Which thread do you plan on making the 100k-th post in?

I'll hang up and listen.

Considering that this is an election year, I'm going to say that his fall posts are going to tick up for a bit and then his "I told you so" or "You don't get it" posts after the 2014 elections will continue the trend through the end of the year. Then 2016 is a major election so he'll be all poopballs that entire year.

Astute analysis!

A thread celebrating a 100,000 post makes me think about how much I miss wikkadpissah on these boards.

ONE DOLLAR DREW!
Saw the daytime Price is Right for the first time in years yesterday. Some lady won over 175,000 and she didn't even make it to the final showdown showcases. They announced she was the biggest winner ever on the daytime show. She was unstoppable until she hit the wheel.
