He started the last two preseason games. Kubiak loves him and said he wanted to move him a long very fast, that he would be an important part of the offense. Putzier will still probably be almost as involved as Daniels, and Joppru has some special H-Back packages, while Breuner remains the blocker.
Daniels is big, smart, and has great great hands. He's a converted QB, and already had Wisconsin's zone blocking scheme down before coming to Houston. Nice fit for him.
#! QB coming out of HS. On his first 5 carries v.s our team, he had 5 touchdowns and around 200 yards rushing. Simply a beast, looks like he has recovered from the knee injuries. I couldn't believe the Badgers turned this guy guy into a TE, but hey, looks like it paif off for Owen. Any homers want to chime in regarding his weight this season? I mean, he was an absoulte tank for a QB, but he always seemed kind of thin.
Could be a solid TE play as a deep sleeper or Bye week fill-in. From what I've seen of the Texans offense they are finally definitely going to try and work in the TE after the Capers era never tried.
If Sage Rosenfels takes over for Carr @QB (which is a possibilty later this season), bump up Daniels bigtime to a possible starter. Sage was checking down to the TE's a lot in the preseason games.
He's been solid when Rosenfels is under center. When Carr is out there he hasn't sniffed his direction once. As soon as the Texans replace Carr he'll be of great value.

Carr has never been inclined to throw to the TE except his 1st season. The Texans 1st season Billy Miller was pretty much our only option to catch the ball and he led the team in receptions. After we got AJ and Davis emerged, Carr stopped throwing to the TE. I think it has a lot to do with the common complaint of not going thru his reads.
