P Lindsay and G Tate for Thielen? (1 Viewer)

Hi guys, this is my first season playing fantasy football.  I acquired Adam Thielen in a trade early in the season (Kittle for Thielen) because I felt weak at WR.  Since then however, my WRs have all performed remarkably well.

The only question mark for me at this time is at RB2.  Chubb is my RB1 and just came off a fantastic performance.  I am getting between 9 and 13 points a week from my RB2 options of Chris Thompson and Matt Breida.  It’s not a bad situation but it could be better.  I’d like to have an option at RB2 who could net me 14-20 points per game.

I was asking my league commissioner for advice about a trade to another owner I was planning to propose (Thielen for Ekeler) and he advised me against it due to Ekeler’s soon to be reduced touches.  He then told me he had a trade in mind and offered his Golden Tate and Phillip Lindsay for my Thielen.

I know Tate is coming off a four game suspension.  I looked up his career stats and while he’s capable of 1k yard seasons (he’s had three since 2010) he hasn’t hauled in a ton of TDs (he’s had five at most in one season).

I dont know much about Phillip Lindsay.  He seems fairly consistent at making modest gains and had a breakout game last week but I just don’t know if he’s the guy I’m looking for at RB2.  What are your thoughts on this trade?

First off, your commissioner shouldn't offer his opinion on a proposed trade-especially since he wants to trade with you. Second, he was right because of Gordon coming back. That said, I'd stand pat and not take either deal.
