Packers-Bears for the NFC North (1 Viewer)

Bold prediction: Rodgers, Flynn, Cutler, and McCown will all take at least one snap during the game.

Should be a great game! Packer/Bear games are just incredible to watch because they are usually very competitive to the end! They are wars on the football field.

Run Eddie Lacy 30 times, and James Starks 10 times = Pack win.

That was a disgrace last night by the Bears in trying to stop the run, but its been that way for the last 1/2 year.

Not sure Lacy is going to be available for that.

But I would agree with the premise of run run run for the Pack.

for those that play week 17 FF, James Starks might be a good pickup.
If available...he is a great pickup against that D.

I really could care less about this game. It's been a disaster this season and no NFC North team deserves the playoffs.

The Pack needs a better draft position more than they need a token award and another ###-slapping defeat the following week. So what if they can sell a few NFC North Champion hats... This team is going nowhere.

I'm ready for Capers and Slocum to be fired. Let the rebuild begin!

Looking more like Rodgers will play. It's not his fault Thompson sucks at free agency & bringing in a backup.

Any word on Matthews
McCarthy said after the game that Matthews had suffered a repeat of the first injury.

“I couldn’t give you a timeline, but I think based off the history of what happened the first time, I’m told it’s similar to [a] repeat injury,” McCarthy said.

McCarthy said. "The training staff didn’t feel very good about the injury, so we’re still working through the process."

He said Monday that a full assessment was still pending.

Matthews now may need to go through the same surgery with pins inserted into his thumb. Specialists have said if that injury doesn't heal correctly it could permanently damage the flexibility in his thumb and his ability to grip things.

The winner of this game is a division champ with a winning record that has been outscored by its opponents. The last team do to that was the 2011 New York Giants, who won the Super Bowl that year.

Thompson is way over-rated. Lucky that Rodgers fell all the way....Same thing as Polian. Lucky Peyton came out that here. GMs that get lucky with franchise QBs get exposed when they have to play without him. BJ Raji, AJ Hawk, etc - so many over-rated blown picks by Thompson.

Sweetness still trying.

Yeah...a GM that has won a SB is way over-rated.

BTW...Hawk is a blown pick now? A guy who has pretty much started and played in every game since being drafted is a blown pick? Interesting.

Same as Raji who was huge in their SB year. Or do you not remember him intercepting a pass and running it back for a TD in Chicago?

:lmao:

You better stick with the guppies chief...might be the only people you can hang with.

Arizona deserves a spot well before either of these teams... It would only be fitting if they both forfeit!
Carson-I-throw-4-picks-every-game-Palmer differs.
Yea, the Cards at 10-5 who are the first team to win a game in Seattle since the Carter era... Yea they deserve to get in, but prob won't. If you're trying to argue they don't deserve a spot, I have nothing left to say to you.

AJ Hawk sucks monkey balls. The Pack must release him or their D is doomed to forever suck.

Early in the year he was having basically his best year. It pretty much coincides with a Dline in front of him that was doing its job.

He is an average LB. Solid, but unspectacular...hardly sucks ball sot continue starting and playing on this team and approaching the all time tackle mark for the Packers.

(cue the...yeah, but its always 5 yards downfield comment).

Again...not saying he is great...but a blown pick? That is absolutely false and anyone who has a clue about football knows that its false.

Anytime a lineman comes out on Hawk the guy is driven backwards. He makes a big play every now and then, but for the most part he loses one on one battles. Trash.

Kickoff pushed back to 3:25. This almost certainly means I'll miss the last train back to Milwaukee and will have to take Monday off so I can spend the night antagonizing Bears fans and generally making an ### of myself in the city. This feels like a Super Bowl year to me, all the chips falling perfectly into place ...

Now that Christmas is over, I feel better writing this: Watching the Bears get knocked out by the Packers for the 2nd time in 4 years would be sweet. Granted, the fans aren't bad people......not like the bandwagon jumping morons who are Viking fans. But any team led by Cutler has to be despised. Can't wait for Sunday's game.

This so should have been the last SNF game of the year. Packers/Bears in prime time for the division title would have been awesome.

But instead we get to watch Kyle Orton and the Cowgirls. Joyous.

Hindsight being 20/20

But..

At the time they made the change you had Romo vs. Foles.. Cowboys vs. Eagles.. at least nationally it was looking to be a Very :excited: game..

or

Flynn vs. an ineffective Cutler lately... Not exactly "prime time material" unless you live in the Mid-west like us.

With Rodgers now starting, and Romo out I see the NFL, and NBC doing a  :kicksrock:

Business just picked up with AROD and Cobb returning. Definitely would be a great SNF game..Maybe they can re-flex.

If nothing else, people would have watched that from strictly a fantasy interest as I am sure that Lacy's performance in this game, with AROD and Cobb back will be quite topic worthy in the off season forums if he happens to have a monster game.

When I think of bandwagon jumpers, the first fan group I consider is Viking fans. It's like they are attracted to nothing but success.

They can't move the game. Philly/Dallas it is.

Also Cobb is practicing, but not active yet. He is still on IR.
