Packers Browns game (1 Viewer)

NFL N just locked me out-thank God I have a stream

They said I'm not subscribed. $150 a month for this? And no Red Zone Channel?

I have to think that the loss of Cullen Jenkins on the Defensive front is going to hurt the packers a bit.

I don't know if it is because I am used to watching the accurate arms of D. Anderson and B. Quinn but watching McCoy hit his targets makes me think that the Browns may be on to something here. If he just had a little more pop he could be elite.

Are you sure the game isn't just on one of your regular channels?
Yeah just found it but not in HD. It's on station 75 miles away that DTV won't give me in HD. I do have New York stations in high def but not this game. This is a problem living close to an out of state TV market-you can't choose which stations you get.Cable now has NFL N and the Red Zone channel(Charter). Bundling will save me about $75 a month.

Jackson cleaning up on tackles that are 5-10 yards down the field. He may produce great fantasy numbers this year but is pretty worthless in real life.

Starks just looks faster than Grant.....
Grant runs better behind the line I think-I think Starks will take over this year after Grants helps him pick the holes better.Starks has better power too but still runs pretty straight up.

James Jones said he worked on pass catching(esp the over the shoulder catch) this off season. Wonder if it'll help.

He has good hands but doesn't seem to look the ball in too well. If he ever fixes that he could be a top 20 WR.

Woodson on the sidelines says he feels great and says he doesn't place a limit on how long he plays.

packer running back misses blitz pick up, Harrels hit, fumbles, 43 yard touchdown return

Brandon Jackson waves from the sideline and shouts over "miss me yet?

in other news, Packers throw money at Flynn just so they don't get stuck with Graham Harrell as their back up qb.

GH has demonstrated maximum suckiness tonight.

Cobb hauled in a difficult catch though Gannon said it was a sloppy route.
It wasn't exactly "sloppy" but Cobb should have cut more perpendicular (toward the center) instead of running straight downfield. He didn't create enough separation to give Flynn a decent window. It was a tremendous catch though. Part of the learning process...

I think josh gody just might make the team. Sack and INT. Good way to get positive attention from coaches

In other news, just how many GB players are wearing dreads?

Cobb looked pretty good

Williams made a nice snag on his lone catch but also missed the block (Got sucked inside instead picking up the outside rusher) on the sack/fumble/td

I thought Saine made some very nice catches, he looked a little hesitant running the ball, the guy is suppose to have sub 4.4 speed and it looked like he was holding back (maybe just me)

I think Starks is going to be good, he runs with some authority

Grant looked a little tentative to me and he is usually a bruiser, I am sure he will be better

Ryan Taylor (the other rookie TE) made a couple nice snags, looks very slow though

Harrell is awful, we better resign Flynn

Gurley made 2 catches but also let one drill him in the chest that he dropped

I think Kerry Taylor looked better than Gurley, but it will be VERY hard for either to make the team

I was not impressed at all with Shaky, whatever he was doing well in practice he left it there

I thought the Browns overall looked quicker and were hitting harder they also appeared to be blocking better to me

Pat Lee was also awful, he must have been burnt about 7 - 10 times

No idea who Josh Gordy is but he played very well

McCoy looked pretty good, good timing on his throws, I think the Browns problems may be wr'ers still I am sure Little will get better but who else is there, Jordan Norwood? He was impressive, he looked very quick, Cribbs made a nice catch but hardly think he is a good enough wr to be a #2 guy, guess we shall see.

Evan Moore may be decent if they keep him on the field, he seemed to be open often

I think the corners/safeties for the Browns are going to be solid, if they can get pressure consistently they are going to be tough to pass on in mho

Before we get to crazy on McCoy...

Packers were playing without Sam Shields and Woodson... among others...

Their replacements, Jarrett Bush and Pat Lee, did make Cleveland’s starting quarterback, Colt McCoy, look like an All-Pro.

On the Browns’ opening drive, McCoy didn’t throw at the only Packers’ starting cornerback in the game, Tramon Williams, and instead attacked Bush and Lee.

As others said, Colt looked good, but GB was playing vanilla and without most of their starting secondary.

While Harrell had no presence in picking up the blitz most times (He did have the one nice one to Saine), what he showed me was a stronger arm than he has shown in the past.

This is also a guy who has not gotten to be in McCarthy's QB school yet (last year as a later addition I believe he missed it...this year with the lockout he missed it).

I think he has potential...but Id rather see Flynn around for a little longer.

This is why I dont put too much stock in preseason till the 3rd game and only for the first half. Rest of the preseason is about seeing who will make the team and how guys are developing.Regular season Capers with his weapons Browns would have not moved the ball so well, and offense looked like it would have moved the ball after the second drive.Flynn keeps moving the Packers this preseaon he will get a shot with some other team as a free agent next year. Harrell could develop with more time with MM just like Flynn has. Packers will also draft a QB next year to develop as they should be down to 2 with A-rod and Harrel next year.
