Only because of a little more depth at LB.But that is a huge loss for Hawk.Collins was also hurt, as was Cullen Jenkins.Pretty much a MASH unit coming out of this game.Rodgers would be a huge loss. Hawk is a loss, but much much easier to replace.
I thought Rodgers returned and finished the game? But I thought it was all good for Rodgers? I know I've seen multiple posts about there being no structural damage anyways...

torn pec. down for the season.http://www.jsonline.com/watch/?watch=1&amp...08&id=46898HoTnickZ said:What about Jenkins? That sounds like a huge loss.
Last time I checked, impact linebackers were by no means simple to replace. Just because you toss a back up guy in there and he looks the part, doesnt mean he is doing as well. Just ask the Bengals and Lions (save for Ernie Sims) who have tried to skimp by with non-pro bowl LBs for a few years now.Rodgers would be a huge loss. Hawk is a loss, but much much easier to replace.
That's just LHUCKS opening the proverbial door when opportunity knocked to bang on a Big 10 player. Nothing else to see here.Last time I checked, impact linebackers were by no means simple to replace. Good point. They should've kept Favre around. That way none of these guys on DEFENSE would've gotten injured. And Woodson has a bad toe, and Rouse is banged up!~ Bigsby is out! Wow... Green Bay might just have first pick next year by time swason is over! That's what they get for letting there FRANCHISE go!
I believe the "wuss" broke his foot against the Patriots a few years ago and finished the game on said broken foot. He also played for four years with a torn ACL before joining the Packers. I don't doubt his toughness at all.Shefter was on Dan Patrick today and thinks Rodgers may have a separated shoulder and the team is hiding it because the team is afraid of the public backlash and instead will send Rodgers out to the wolves to play hurt or if Rodgers doesn't play then the fans will think he's a big wuss.
Lord Favre has stricken upon us the ultimate plague of injury. If only we had cleansed ourselves of these front office demons, our savior could be with us now to get us through these tough times when we have a struggling running game and defense like he did in 2005 and 2006.That's what they get for letting there FRANCHISE go!
A) Guy doesn't make an impactB) Hasn't seen a Pro-Bowl, so your Bengals/Lions example is irrelevant.Last time I checked, impact linebackers were by no means simple to replace. This is poor speculation! Why would a team risk further injury to a guy that they want to have around for a long time? THe fans that dont see the big picture will continue to bash the trade of Brett to the Jets. A fan that knows the game will realize that all these injuries will have more to do with the teams performance than one player.Brett sure carried this team last year in his last game as a Packer.Shefter was on Dan Patrick today and thinks Rodgers may have a separated shoulder and the team is hiding it because the team is afraid of the public backlash and instead will send Rodgers out to the wolves to play hurt or if Rodgers doesn't play then the fans will think he's a big wuss.

Exactly what I was thinking. There is no bad thing that can happen to the Packers that won't somehow get tied to Thompson not keeping Favre.Good point. They should've kept Favre around. Given the severe stupidity of the general public (sports fans esp), that wouldn't surprise me, but I wouldn't count on that. Rodgers has played better than most by far expected and if his season ends because of injury - I just think GB fans at least are a lot better than that. After all, this isn't Oakland or Philly. As stated, this is probably idiotic speculation (from sports reporters, go figure). As my luck with QBs continues.Shefter was on Dan Patrick today and thinks Rodgers may have a separated shoulder and the team is hiding it because the team is afraid of the public backlash and instead will send Rodgers out to the wolves to play hurt or if Rodgers doesn't play then the fans will think he's a big wuss.

Even if Rodgers gets thru this he never lasted a game before.
let's just take it easy here, guyhe's solid but nowhere near the #1 or #2 best LB in the league. hell, he's the second best LB on his team. And LhUCKS if your bashing Hawk I got two things to say. 1. You've never actually watched him play. I have since he was a kid!2. Your defense derangedThis kid was becomeing real close to passing Lewis as the best in the business! He was right there with him when he got hurt. He was really comeing into his own and it was very noticeble to anyone that knows anything about Defense!

LOOK AT ME I COACH FOOTBALL !!!No, he wasn't the second best LB on his team. HE PASSED UP Barnett late last year and was really comeing into his own this year before the chest injury.
I was a defensive corridanater of 3 state championship teams AND 7 BIG SCHOOL STATE FINALIST! I know defenses.
No A.J was not one of greatest fantasy LB just yet. But within the schemes GB used he was a star! A stud. Always in the right place at the right time! Something you just don't teach! I saw his worst game since his rookie year when he tried to come back from chest injury. Something wasn't right! And now this. Probably lead to this.
A.J Hawk can not be replaced with anything even close to the level he was playing at.
G.B is in trouble!
Rodgers loss very similar to offense as A.J. s will be to D. GB can pretty much throw the towell in this season and use it to develop depth. Whatever.
It's between Minny and Bears for division now regardless if Rodgers lasts or not WITH a.j OUT.
MARK MY WORDS.

Jenkins is a huge loss. The guy has played very well this year.Adds something at DE that they don't have with KGB and moves inside when needed on other downs.HoTnickZ said:What about Jenkins? That sounds like a huge loss.
No...they are still good enough to beat the Lions right now so lets not go crazy on 1st pick.Letting the franchise go had anything to do with Jenkins tearing a pec? Or Hawk hurting his groin? Or Harris rupturing a spleen? And Woodson has a bad toe, and Rouse is banged up!~ Bigsby is out! Wow... Green Bay might just have first pick next year by time swason is over! That's what they get for letting there FRANCHISE go!
A) actually he does...to anyone who is objective and has watched the Packers play, especially this year. You are just way off as usual because you don't like the guy because of where he went to school.B) and how long has he been in the league. Woodson and Harris have seen how many pro bowls? Do they not make impacts on the field?A) Guy doesn't make an impactB) Hasn't seen a Pro-Bowl, so your Bengals/Lions example is irrelevant.Last time I checked, impact linebackers were by no means simple to replace. I would not go even close to as far as saying he was passing Lewis or any of the top 5 LBs for sure at this point.Pack won;t be 8-8. They have lost half the d! Even if Rodgers gets thru this he never lasted a game before. What makes you think he will last a season? I am surprised he lasted this long. And LhUCKS if your bashing Hawk I got two things to say. 1. You've never actually watched him play. I have since he was a kid!2. And time for a No...he did not pass Barnett at all last year...was getting close this year. But still not there. No, he wasn't the second best LB on his team. I thought we were talking about the Packers...not the Vikings.6-10
Desmond Bishop? I think this kid has some talent, maybe the opportunity to showcase it is now?who would replace AJ assuming he will not be in the lineup this week?
I was thinking probably Tracy White.related note: Packers signed DE Kenny Pettway yesterday.Desmond Bishop? I think this kid has some talent, maybe the opportunity to showcase it is now?who would replace AJ assuming he will not be in the lineup this week?
According to Will Jordan, Pettway's agent, the Packers signed the 6-4, 248-pound end, who was released by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the cutdown to 53 on Aug. 30. In two seasons with the Jaguars, Pettway, 25, played in 17 games and had 14 tackles and three sacks. He is considered more of a pass rusher than a run defender because of his size.He was a seventh-round draft choice of the Houston Texans in 2005Pettway's name was in the news quite a bit in Jacksonville because he was a passenger in the SUV in which Jaguars offensive lineman Richard Collier was shot 14 times on Sept. 2. It was revealed this week that Collier was paralyzed by the shooting and had to have one of his legs amputated above the knee.
White is listed there on the depth chart on that side. Not sure how much switching LB positions can be done though. My guess would be, if possible, Chillar or Bishop. Even the possibility of Bishop playing middle and Barnett being able to move outside.I don't know for sure though how many of them are apt to move around at the LB spots they play.Desmond Bishop? I think this kid has some talent, maybe the opportunity to showcase it is now?who would replace AJ assuming he will not be in the lineup this week?
You mean the way the Eagles beat down the Bears last Sunday nightPack in big trouble with these injuries. At least 8-8 might win the division, although all that gets you is a wild card round beat down at home by one of the NFC East teams.
We can dream. But I worry about the Colts game.Just to call it now:
The Packers will win big this weekend against Atlanta. All the tools will howl: Atlanta sucks! Wait 'till they play the Seahawks!
The Packers will beat the Seahawks. All the tools will howl: Just wait until the Packers get taken apart by Manning next week!
The Packers will beat the Colts.
It will then be their bye week, the Packers will be in first place in the NFC North with a record of 5-2.
corridanater? Good thing you weren't the English teacher.I was a defensive corridanater of 3 state championship teams AND 7 BIG SCHOOL STATE FINALIST! I know defenses.
