Thread is to discuss Packers blocking scheme and effects on players.
Green - guessing he is best blocking back on roster and since he is active will take over 3rd down blocking to shore up underxized lineman
Lee - Best blocking TE and don't see how he can be used much in passing game because of need to stay in and block. In fact, after Finley went out against Browns his targets DID NOT increase.
Havner - Not a rookie - 4 year NFL player two way player (TE-LB) who exploded for several big plays last week. Probably not a good blocker. MCCarthy has very specific packages for Finley when Lee is on the field. Hence, I project HE will get Finley's 7 targets, not Lee, against the worst team in the NFL against the TE. Finely exploded against the Vikings in the last meetings.
Enter Spencer Havner - Player of the week and maybe the key to the Packers beating the Vikings.
