at least 4 games. per sirius nfl radio.
Not suprising. The worst part is that Jerry Jones has warned him and warned him to keep a low profile. I gues going to the movies and getting a carryout does not sit well with Pacman.

That would be awesome.

Dallas would be getting everything they deserve with the exeption of Romo (I like him and he's a good guy).

But signing Owens when they knew he would pull the kind of stuff he's pulling now. Signing Pacman when they knew he was a straight up thug. Only a matter of time before Tank goes and does something.

Also, Rotoworld just reported:

NFL Suspends Adam Jones at least 4 games

The NFL has suspended Pacman Jones indefinitely for violating the personal conduct policy. Jones will miss at least four games.

Oct. 14 - 2:44 pm et

Adam Jones has been suspended for at least four games for his most recent violation of the league's personal conduct policy, according to ESPN. NFL commissioner Roger Goodell said he is suspended indefinitely without pay, and added, "Jones' disturbing pattern of behavior was clearly inconsistent with the conditions I set for your continued participation in the NFL."

Our View: Goodell will determine the final length of Jones' suspension following the Cowboys' Week 11 game against Washington on November 16. The decision on whether Jones can return to play will be based on his strict compliance with his NFL and Cowboys' treatment plans as well as on evaluations of Jones' progress that will be provided to Goodell by clinical experts retained by the NFL.

I think the Cowboys get a draft pick because of this.
:nerd:
Maybe I was smoking crack at the time, but I thought there was some kind of clause where if PacMan were to get suspended this season then the Cowboys would receive a draft pick from Tennessee.
My recollection was that they'd have to surrender a higher pick to the Titans if he finished the season on their roster, but otherwise it was a 7th that they gave up. If I'm right, he could still finish the season on their roster after serving the suspension.

What a last 48 hours for Dallas.

1) Lose to AZ

2) Lose Romo for a month

3) Lose Felix Jones for 2-4 weeks

4) Lose PacMan for 5 weeks (at least)

5) Lose punter for the season

ouch.

So is the Cowboys defense becoming droppable. I held onto them thinking eventually the talent would come together. They are currently ranked 20th in my league, and with the injury to Newman, the suspension of Jones, and Romo now gone for 4 weeks, I don't know how successful they will be. I have to start them this week @ STL but after that I might send them to the wire.

Gotta say that they've underperformed so far. What exactly are you going to get that's an upgrade over the short term?

Philly is my other D. I would drop Dallas and roster another position.

I thought this was his "last chance"? Why not a lifetime ban now?
Probably because there is not enough hard evidence. My guess tht is one the reason he is going revaluate in 4 weeks. If Pacman had been charged or arrested, goddell would have already done the lifetime thing.

He got into a scuffle with his own security person...what was the big deal? I assume that guy was on Adam's payroll...I don't get this suspension at all.

Larry Johnson should get 8 games for pushing a woman if Jones gets 4 for pushing someone on his payroll.

Thanks for the fifth rounder, Titans :D
That's what I thought - something came back to the Cowboys. Do you have a link to the deal?
Article about the trade and terms.
— If Jones is available or on injured reserve for 16 games in 2008, the Titans will also get a sixth-round pick from the Cowboys in 2009. Jones doesn't have to play in the games; he just can't be suspended.— If Jones isn't reinstated, the Titans will send a fourth-round draft pick back to the Cowboys in 2009. If Jones is reinstated and suspended again for another matter, the Titans will send a fifth-round pick to the Cowboys in 2009.

On espn last night before the game, they were saying that part of Pacman's reinstatement included that he met all of the terms and conditions of his probation for whatever he actually got convicted of.

Under terms of his probation, he is not allowed to drink alcohol, so he violated the terms as multiple sources reported he was drinking at the hotel.

Even if Goodell bought the horsing around story and deemed it a non-issue, he had to suspend pacman because he was drinking.

Pissing of JJ doesn't bode to well for a salary cap. Not that I disagree with the suspension, but it sounds like Goodell isn't making friends with JJ.

Basically the trades ends up...Titans give Jones and 2009 5th rounder

Cowboys give 2008 4th rounder (Titans selected Lavelle Hawkins WR)

Prolly had brass fixtures....his favorite metal finish

The question now becomes is it worth a 5th rounder to, in the middle of the season:1) give up a 4th rounder in the initial trade; 2) lose one of your top two CB's and have to replace him with a rookie or a FA; 3) lose your PR; AND4) be the subject of all of this negative attention, especially as it relates to this player rehabilitation program that Jerry has been touting? I don't think so.EDIT to include the initial pick given up by Dallas.

:lol:Yea, this is a great deal for Dallas. They now receive the Titans 2009 5th round pick, after acquiring the services of Pacman for 6 games in which he had no game changing plays, was a huge distraction and a cause of turmoil in the locker room. And all the cowboys had to give up for this was their 2008 4th rounder. I hear Jerry Jones is currently working on an even better deal for Dallas. He's going to send their 2009 7th round pick to the Giants and in return will let Jerry Reese kick him in the nuts.
