Pagano & Grigson have to GO ! (1 Viewer)

You would think the Colts would have been ready to play today. Terrible gameplan, terrible defense. The Colts don't appear to be playing hard on defense and that is on the coach. Pagano needs to be replaced. If you can't get up for a game after the whipping the Patriots gave them in the AFC championship game, that is also on the coach.

Edited to include Grigson has to go to. If Irsay doesn't fire both of these clowns I can see Luck leaving the Colts when his rookie contract is up.

He's a do nothing coach. He looks over matched by other coaches when it comes to game planning and he doesn't adjust very well either. I'd like for them to hire John Gruden.

Irsay should have fired him last year and paid Harbaugh. Tough to do given his record. But he'll never win anything.

Is he the one who ignored the defense and offensive line during free agency and the draft? Serious question.

Always thought Arians would make a better coach, but you can't fire a guy because he lost time to cancer. That said, you got beat by the second-best division in football today, and it was no surprise to me. The AFC East beasts right now.

Gothcer ### kicked by a good club from a good division.

The Colts signed Trent Cole who I think will be a good addition. If TY Hilton is out awhile it looks like drafting Dorsett in the 1st might be a blessing if he can quit fumbling punts. I don't think Pagano is good coach when it comes to strategy and adjustments. He can be a rah rah guy but he needs to be a lot more than that. Like I said, he's a do nothing coach. Much like Jim Caldwell was when he was with the Colts. I'll also say I haven't been pleased with Grigson either. He started out pretty good for the Colts, but has failed with player evaluations the last few years.

Yeah, it wasn't the fact that the Colts had talent advantages at just 2 positions on their entire team. Buffalo's overall talent>>>>>>>>Indy's overall talent

Calm down...Buffalo D is probably the best in the league this year.

As a Packer fan, I distinctly remember going into Buffalo last year towards the end to pick up an 'easy win'.

The actual result was that the Bills straight up shut Rodgers down.

They are legit.

Colts have a terrible HC and a terrible GM. Luck is single-handedly keeping you guys afloat and him throwing for pretty passing stats seems to be all anybody in that organization cares about.

Agree. Pagano really is in over his head. The whole "chuck strong" thing made for a good story while Arians was winning coach of the year honors, but he just seems lost. I've said that ever since he was hired. He just has a deer-in-the-headlights look to him all the time and it shows in his coaching.

They also shut down Payton and the Broncos last year! We shall see next week when Tom & co come to town next week.

I think Grigson deserves the lion's share of the blame. He wasted a 1st on a RB, his free agents additions are past their prime, and he hasn't improved their O-line or defense.

If you are going to blame anyone, I would go with this.

I would not worry about the Colts though...they are going to get their 10 wins and get into the playoffs.

What happens then...who knows? I agree that the 'get rich quick' strategy the Colts are employing is stupid. They should have been trying to add O-line depth and D-line depth.

Don't think Gruden is ever gonna coach again.
Hard to pass up coaching Andrew Luck for 12 to 15 years.
Dude makes a lot of money doing a much easier job.
If monEy is what drives him.

I would take Pagano over many NFL coaches including Lovie Smith, Gus Bradley and Jeff Fisher.
There's a difference between saying you'd take him over some others and that he, in and of himself, is awful. The two things are not mutually exclusive. And in regards to another post, I think Pagano is a worse head coach than Grigson is a GM.

Updaed to include Grigson has to go too.

Please Irsay, don't waste Luck's best years with these two idiots in control.

The way Frank Gore was underutilized in the game was a major mistake. The Patriots rank 22 against the run. Gore was running all over the field with power but limited to 13 carries. I would have thought that taking as much time from Brady and crew would have been an excellent game plan. But then again I am not the coach!

Time to bring in Payton
Sean Payton? Maybe a new team would revitalize him, but I don't know if I would take that chance. I would bring in a defensive coach and then let him and Luck get together and decide on and OC together.
Wasn't Pagano supposed to be a defensive coach? I would't hesitate to bring in either Sean Payton or Jim Harbaugh.

Giving a first round pick for Trent Richardson is grounds enough to fire Grigson.
The best thing about that trade was the "bowling ball of butcher knives" comment... Remember how it got me all excited in my Keeper league... :kicksrock:
remember back then, when the trade just made sooo much sense? lol (if you didn't count the red flags i mean)

If the NFL really cared about integrity they would remove the drug addict owner of the team who is a disgrace to the shield by himself.

Does that mean all defensive coaches will fail? Maybe they just picked the wrong one. Harbaugh seems like the right fit, but I think it is too soon to pry him from Michigan, 4 years from now yes. The thing about Luck, is you know (barring injury) he is going to be the quarterback for the next 10 + years, so it would be better to get an OC that would work with him and to his likes and strengths rather than bring in a guy that is going to want to run his system. So a defensive coach that will let Luck and the OC do their job seems like the best fit.

I'd settle for bringing back Dungy if they could talk him into it and there were things about him I disliked as well, a couple being that he was too conservative and never seemed to challenge many calls.

I would say fire both of them tomorrow but Irsay is probably so high on pills he doesn't even know the Colts are getting beat.

No fire in their belly in the first half, that is on the coach. They lose nothing by firing Pagano. I would also fire Grigson before the next draft.

It's okay, Pagano was really proud of how the boys fought their asses off in the second half. :lmao:

He sounds like a high school coach.
