On the third day, quarterback Carson Palmer rested. But head coach Marvin Lewis said his quarterback most likely will be practicing the next time the Bengals take the field July 29 to open training camp. Lewis said he didn’t know if Palmer would be taking the starter’s snaps and he indicated Palmer won’t play in the Aug. 13 preseason opener against the Redskins. Palmer didn’t work Saturday, but the rest wasn’t because of soreness or swelling. The Bengals were extremely encouraged when Palmer was able to strap it up Friday morning after his first major work of the spring in Thursday's double session.

QB Carson Palmer dropped back to pass and decided to take it easy, protecting his rebuilt left knee while flinging the ball to a receiver during a minicamp drill. With that one mundane move, the quarterback showed how far he has come and how much progress he has to make in order to meet his goal of playing in the season opener. Palmer has been immersed in his comeback since he had reconstructive surgery on Jan. 10

yeah, like i said, i haven't heard anything in a while. that was almost a month ago that i heard that.

yeah, like i said, i haven't heard anything in a while. that was almost a month ago that i heard that.
It is extremely unlikely that you will hear anything else of concrete value until the preseason begins in earnest. Most of the news out there right now is speculation and it will remain so until training camp starts.If we do hear anything, we'll make sure to post it here in the Shark Pool ASAP.
