I just don't understand how one could possibly come up with these rankings. I couldn't trade 3 Brandin Cooks to get LeVeon Bell. No, that's not what rankings are based off of, but come on.

In dynasty, I don't really see how one can complain about someone else's rankings.

We all value players differently. It's certainly not as black and white as redraft rankings are.

I could see Cooks being a top scoring WR for years to come... it's not crazy at all to me.

Wish I could trade Allen Robinson for Calvin Johnson. I can't even get a late 1st for him.

I agree to a large extent, and to be honest I appreciate a fresh perspective and generally defend same. Sometimes things just scream "click bait" or "different to be different" to me though.

Can anyone really be advocating to trade Calvin Johnson for Allen Robinson straight up and that you'd be coming out the winner if you did? I know Calvin is creeping up on 31, but elite level WRs don't fade away until their mid 30s and sometimes even later. Robinson hasn't even played one complete season.

I love Brandin Cooks more than most (obviously not more than Chad) but according to these rankings I could arguably get Eddie Lacy and Calvin Johnson for him or Julio Jones (plus more).

Anyway, I do realize that in two years perhaps I'm the one who will look foolish for making the above statements - but sometimes being too youth-centric in your dynasty focus borders on obsessive compulsive levels.

Yeah, I think it would be silly to expect Megatron for Allen Robinson... but I also think you shouldn't just look at these as trade values for today. Dynasty values have a bit more long term outlook on them, some for longer terms than others clearly. I'm sure Chad has an explanation for why his rankings are where they are and it's certainly not trade value.

Players that just get done with their rookie year have never really been proven to be worth more than guys that just finished their second and sometimes third.

The notion of a huge bright career...I get that, but the other end is whether they retire at 33,34,35,36 and that really doesn't hold up to "grab guys that did well their rookie year."

Players that just finished their second year have all the same going for them but year after year we get dynasty lists praising former rooks

I'm not. I'm looking at it as dynasty rankings. However, if these were his true rankings it stands to reason that he should be willing to trade Calvin Johnson for Allen Robinson or looking at it a different way, in a start up draft he should be willing to draft Allen Robinson while Calvin Johnson was still on the board.

Do you really think that happens?

I know the cop-out answer would be something like "well I'd know I could get Robinson later so I take Calvin and get Robinson later...or well I know the market values Calvin more so I'd look to get Robinson plus more" - but these are rankings on a fantasy football website. So in theory some newbie drafting should be making those moves based on the information that he is paying for.
