Past draft rankings? (1 Viewer)

We all know that, as exciting as draft day is, the results don't really show themselves for at least three years.

Does anyone know of any team draft rankings of drafts from the past. What I mean is, if the "experts" gave the Cowboys a "B" in 2002, what would that grade be now, in retrospect?

Anyone have a link to this sort of thing? Or maybe thoughts of your own?

We can certainly evaluate for ourselves.LIONS:

2002

Rd Sel# Player Pos. School

1 3 Joey Harrington QB Oregon

2 35 Kalimba Edwards DE South Carolina

3 68 Andre' Goodman CB South Carolina

4 134 John Taylor DE Montana State

5 138 John Owens TE Notre Dame

6 175 Chris Cash CB Southern California

7 214 Luke Staley RB Brigham Young

7 252 Matt Murphy TE Maryland

7 259 Victor Rogers T Colorado
This idiot gave the Lions the #2 ranking for this draft. :X http://www.fantasyfootballexperts.com/nfl_...2002_grades.htm

 D

2001

Rd Sel# Player Pos. School

1 18 Jeff Backus T Michigan

2 50 Dominic Raiola C Nebraska

2 61 Shaun Rogers DT Texas

5 148 Scotty Anderson WR Grambling

5 149 Mike McMahon QB Rutgers

6 173 Jason Glenn OLB Texas A&M
He did a lot better here: http://www.fantasyfootballexperts.com/nfl_...2001_grades.htm

Backus

Rogers

Raiola

Got to give them a A here, best draft they've had in recent memory.

2000

Rd Sel# Player Pos. School

1 20 Stockar McDougle T Oklahoma

2 50 Barrett Green OLB West Virginia

3 81 Reuben Droughns RB Oregon

5 145 Todd Franz S Tulsa

6 181 Quinton Reese DE Auburn

7 253 Alfonso Boone NT Mt. San Antonio JC
McDougle and Droughns... C-, could have been a B if they'd kept Droughns.

:lmao: at some of these lines

The Chiefs gave up a third-round pick to move up two slots and grab DT Ryan Simms. Simms filled a major void in the KC defense and was arguably the best DT in the draft.

QB Joey Harrington was the right choice at No. 3 overall

the Bills managed to grab four very good prospects in the first three rounds – OT Mike Williams, WR Josh Reed, DE Ryan Denney, and S Cory Wire.

The Raiders’ top two picks, CB Phillip Buchanon and OLB Napoleon Harris, were very good values at No. 17 and No. 23 overall.

The Browns filled their biggest void by selecting RB William Green in the first round. Green should solve the team’s running woes if he can stay out of trouble.

LB Will Witherspoon was a reach in the third round.

Selecting Freeney at No. 11 overall may have been a little early,

Top pick Ashley Lelie (No. 19 overall) should be a stud at WR

The Packers traded up to No. 20 to grab WR Javon Walker. There is no doubt that Walker has tremendous potential and the Packers needed a wideout, but they could have stayed at No. 28 and selected Jabar Gaffney, Josh Reed, or Antonio Bryant.

Instead, they reached for WR Deion Branch, yet another undersized New England receiver, in the second round,

Taking DT Marcus Stroud and passing over OT Kenyatta Walker was a bad move.

My favorite Green Bay pick was LB Torrance Marshall at No. 72.

The Eagles addressed most of their needs with their first four picks, including two potential stars in WR Freddie Mitchell and LB Quinton Caver.

This is not necessarily incorrect.

Nor is this.

The Green comment, ok.The Walker one though? The implication is Walker isn't much better than those 3. Bryant has potential, but the others are busts. Because they took JW, this guy ranked their draft #27.

If Green Bay has shown anything over the years, it's that they are to WRs what the Broncos are to RBs.I'm sure at the very least AB could've put up comparable seasons to J-Walk's best in Green Bay. I'd say Gaffney would've had a fair shot as well.

All down hill from the 4th pick on.

Still don't have a link where to find draft day grades as it happened.
