Yeah, people have been writing really sympathetic articles about the need for gallows humor at jobs like this in order to cope, etc.
Personally, I think they ought to just get a healthy heaping of understanding about the fragility of life and the care with which people treat their own lives, and I would recommend a heavy dose of shutting their mouths, which the judge and jury seemed to have agreed with.
In addition, it strikes me that the people that wrote those articles sympathizing with the anesthesiologist and her staff are the same type of people and editors that get off on publishing and reading the "WHAT YOUR WAITSTAFF REALLY THINKS OF YOU" type of article that only oversensitive morons take seriously and only bigger entitled idiots see fit to write.
We can do away with that crap, too. Here's a hint: Courtesy, respect, and shutting your mouth go a long way.
