Patrick Crayton (1 Viewer)

Outside of TO, that WR corps is an absolute mess for fantasy purposes. I don't see how dropping a guy like Crayton could be called ridiculous if you have better options, which shouldn't be hard.

He is at best a possession WR who will get very few looks in the Red Zone. He also doesn't have the speed to gain big yards after the catch. Drop away.

I drafted him in one league were I knew I would be loading up on some of the injured/suspended WR's such as Henry/Porter/Engram/Curtis/Branch. I felt he would be a nice play early in the season since Dallas had only two healthy WR's. He was decent in week one against a terrible Browns secondary but sorry in week 2 and invisible in week 3 when Dallas added another WR. My take is if the guy can't produce when he's one of only 2 or 3 able bodied WR's on the team I don't see how I can ever trust him to produce unless TO gets hurt which is the only reason I'm hanging onto him.

As a Cowboys fan, I have officially forgotten Crayton...the guy can talk alot, but can't catch a simple pass that hits him in the hands...btw, I do not believe he was targeted the rest of the Packer game after that drop.

Depending on your WR depth, I don't see where it could be deemed as foolish.

I think I may be dropping him myself this week.

With T.O., Marshall, Chambers along with TEs Scheffler, Fasano and McMichael, I don't have alot of opportunity to work him in the lineup anyway.

WR/TE flex.

If you drop him, it will be only one drop. He has a lot more than that.

I think Romo has lost faith in him, and he's at best, the fourth or fifth option for Romo. I've dropped him.

Not dropping him, but he won't see my lineup anytime soon. I drafted him as a WR 3/4, but he has been garbage the past 2 weeks.

He was decent last year & the Cowboys throw ton. He'll be hit or miss all year, but could be gold if TO goes down.

Sam Hurd is back this week. It would not surprise me if Crayton's single game high this year is what he posted in week 1.

Hurd and Austin will both push Crayton for targets, especially if Crayton keeps dropping passes.

My one team is really thin at WR and I've been forced to start Crayton the last 2 weeks. I don't think I can take anymore of him ... I just can't be competitive with a fat zero in my lineup. Probably will pick up Lance Moore or Meachem (probably Moore since it's PPR).

I don't get David Dodds continued optimism on this guy. In the last "Top 250 Forward", after 2 consecutive scoring bagels Crayton is still WR31 ... right around the same ranking as guys like Coles, White, and Vincent Jackson :goodposting: I think I need to think for myself and not point to the shirt on this one and make the move.

Patrick Crayton is one of the best receivers in the history of the NFL! Why can't everyone see this?

Sincerely,

Patrick Crayton

I just don't see Hurd hitting the field unless they go 4 wide.Crayton will get a few more targets then the GB game, but definately has limitations as already stated in the thread.

Lots of talk/print about Miles Austin here in big D after the 2 big plays the other night. Supposedly Romo had him pegged for a break out year in training camp. I wouldn't be shocked to see Crayton lose many targets to him and even be passed on the depth chart once Austin is healthy.

Asleep at the Wheel "I saw Miles and Miles of Austin"

Dynasty --> trade, get what you can

Deeper keeper/redraft --> test the trade waters, don't expect much/anything

Shallow redraft/keeper --> dump him

I dropped him earlier today for a player to be remembered later... (Kevin Curtis maybe? - too many leagues).

I've got Plax and Calvin Johnson on bye this week.

Right now I've got Matt Walter and Matt Jones starting in their place, over Crayton.

I guess it's time to drop a guy that can't beat those two out.

Interesting. Looking for a bye week filler with some upside. Thanks for sharing this. As a Cowboys fan, I liked what i saw from Austin this past Sunday.
