I can't decide whether to start him, either. We start 3 LB, and I've got Willis, Posluszny, Hawthorne and Dansby. Dansby has been on my bench with his injury, but he blew up last week and I'm considering benching Willis for him. The weekly projections tell me to bench him, but it's gonna be a tough to actually do it.
Wasnt Willis ROY with a broken hand? This is a key game for SF. He'll play. Now if he gets tackles, thats another story, last couple weeks he has been low on tackles.
I expect big things if SD gets ahead and runs. If its throw all the time for SD, Willis will be single digit tackles again.
Willis was a stud with his broken hand two years ago. He looked very good playing the run last week. The Niners continue to use him in deep coverage to help the safeties and corners in zone coverage, leaving all the underneath scraps on passing plays and some draw plays to Spikes. Could change tonight if the Chargers get a lead and use Tolbert/Mathews 35 times, but I'd leave Willis as a high upside LB3 tonight.
I have both Willis and Spikes and with Willis being my favorite NFL player, it pains me to have him sit the bench, but if you look at the last 5 weeks, Spikes is benefiting from teams going hard after Willis in their blocking schemes. I am going with Spikes as well - Good Luck this week guys!!!

I sat Willis in 1 league for Ware. With Ware going against the inept 'Skins and Rex Grossman, Ware could have a monster game. Willis scored 1 point less than his average in the league. Sat him in a 2nd league for Dhani Jones. Willis also scored 1 point less than his average in that league and Jones has been rock steady for the past few weeks. Going against the Browns I don't see that changing.
