Patriots acquire WR KeShawn Martin (1 Viewer)

3 targets, 3 catches, 1 TD. Pats are thin at WR, so this is kind of interesting. Not a believer in Dobson and LaFell injury/recovery news is non-existent. Seems to have some comfort in the O with the Bill O'Brien connection. Probably too early to take a flyer on him, but worth watching I suppose. IF LaFell doesn't make it back he might be a solid pick up.

Sounds like insurance in case Edelman goes down. We know Amendola wouldn't survive 3 weeks with Edelman's role.

Thompkins was added to PS too

This guy seems to have sent Dobson to game day inactive and is playing in 3 WR sets. Seems like there may be some sneaky value in deeper leagues. Injury to Dola or Edelman could send his value through roof

Keshawn has looked good as the WR3/4, depending on how you look at Dola. Dola is absolutely ahead of him though.

The best thing he has going for him is that he isn't Dobson.

why did he have a higher snap count?
Gameplan or being the more complimentary player to the current roster without Lafell.

There's a reason Dola's deal was redone and it's Edelman. If Edelman goes down Dola will slide in instantly.

Keshawn is just a guy.

Isn't Lafell coming back soon?
ESPN Boston reports Brandon LaFell's (foot, PUP) recovery is "on schedule."

Per reporter Mike Reiss, LaFell was working out on the field prior to Sunday's game against the Cowboys. The Patriots' No. 2 receiver last season, LaFell is eligible to return in Week 7. Now is the time to stash him in 12-team leagues, though he might not match last year's rates. LaFell will be a WR4 with WR2/3 upside.

Tom Brady hinted WR Keshawn Martin (hamstring) could have a role once he is healthy.

Advice: Brady mentioned Martin first when asked about Julian Edelman (broken foot), and added Danny Amendola's role is "different" than what Edelman does in the offense. Amendola should still be expected to get the biggest bump in usage with Edelman out, but perhaps Martin could carve out a role.

Interesting... He's questionable right now for this week
