Usually, I'm pretty lenient....but this worries me. He checked in and appeared to make no effort regarding this draft.

I was a little anxious when the solid pace we set at the start slowed to this crawl, but now I'm fine with it. We'll finish up before the draft starts, which keeps to the spirit of the thing.I'd also like to get this draft moving so we can finish soon. I understand moving slowly on the weekends or even at night but there's no reason to move so slowly during the day. Besides, one or two people, the pre-drafting in this league seems to be pretty non-existant.

Well, here we go again. Coin Flip has been running mocks, but has pushed his clock to the max. He times out at 11:25 CDT and he still needs to replace his previous pick, so he has two picks.

Aaron, life exists outside of this messageboard and these drafts. I will pick shortly.
You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink. I guess you can PM a drafter back to the thread, but he still may not make a pick. My logic was that several folks on the board would jump at the opportunity to draft teams to compete against FBG Staff. I know I do, but that has not been successful. We have had a few folks that just flat out don't care and that's a challenge.I thought that I was selecting people that had a history of participation, but I was not successful.

I don't think Aaron is talking to you in particular. I know this isn't a record slow draft but it's the slowest I've ever been in. It just seems like we stall for days for no good reason, Aposulli bailed (but eventually checked back in 2 weeks later), Coin Flip is drafting a bizarre team and then disappears...posts sorry and then disappears again w/o picking, etc, etc.Frank Black said:

I'm not saying you have to pick w/in minutes but be considerate enough not to time out or take most of your allotted 8 hrs, and don't bail on the draft. Shadow, I don't disagree and Aaron, I didn't assume you were aiming your comment at me. However, I don't know what the lives of people here are like or what the demands on them are. Shadow, I'm not willing to assume that people are necessarily in a position to do what you suggest even though your suggestion is a good one.And also, we all know life exists outside these drafts, but if you sign up for one...make the ####### committment to follow it through. I'm not saying you have to pick w/in minutes but be considerate enough not to time out or take most of your allotted 8 hrs, and don't bail on the draft. Most of these survivor drafts that I have been in average about a round a day. You can send it to me. I'll be in and out today, but starting tomorrow I will not be able to update picks and it will be very hard for me to access internet. I will provide a cell number to a few so that I can make picks and provide lists. I just knew that we would be finished by now.
I will be around most of the weekend.
