According to Norris B, I'm OTC, so I'll get this thing started and shock everyone by talking Ladanian Tomlinson with the 1.01 pick.

Is this official over the weekend? Or are we officially launching Monday?

Just trying to cover my weekend.

Sorry, didn't think we'd kick this thing off until Sunday. The sooner the better I guess.

1.02 Steven Jackson

PMing next

1.5 Reggie Bush

Can someone post the rules? I understand it is best ball but is it 1 PPR as well, anything special for QB/TE? Just would like to know how this is scored.

And I'll PM the next guy.

Player Scoring:

Passing TDs = 6 pts

Rushing/receiving TDs = 6 pts

1 pt per 20 yards passing

1 pt per 10 yards rushing/receiving

1 pt per reception (QB/RB/WR)

2 pt per reception (TE)

Kicker Scoring:

3 pts per FG

1 pt per EP

Defense Scoring:

Points Allowed

0 = 5 points

1-6 = 3 points

7-13 = 1 point

14+ = 0 points

Total Yards Allowed

0-199 = 5 points

200-249 = 3 points

250-299 = 1 point

300+ = 0 points

Sack = 1 point

INT/Fumble Recovery = 2 points

Safety = 2 points

TD (inc. ST) = 6 points

Big thing is TE isn't a worthless position.

Can someone please post/add a set of "linky's" of all teams to make PM'ing a lot easier for us all. Keep it in the first post of each set of the draft round topics. This will greatly enhance the flow of the draft, IMO. It has worked extremely well over in the White Elephant mock.

I'm gonna be out for a few hours so I PM'ed Ruffrodys05 and gave him a predraft list. So it's ok for him to post my pick. If my pick hasn't come up by the time I get back I'll post the pick. I just won't be here to PM the next drafter after me.

I generally PM someone who is normally around. I dont care if they are before or behind me. The person who takes the PM should then PM the pick afterwards.

How did I move back from pick #9 to pick #10? As per the rolls and draft order thread, I should be drafting #9. I figure that it was an accident, but would appreciate if it was fixed before we get any farther.

Where the helluva is Professor Chaotic????????

When should I replace chaos?

Id like to just do it now because he is a noob and we should probably have less tolerence for them.

I'm disappointed we couldn't get farther along this weekend myself, BUT the timer isn't turned on until tomorrow, so Chaos hasn't officially timed out yet. We're just as far along as PDSL 1 and PDSL 2 hasn't even had a pick made yet so I think we should wait. Maybe he's out of town for the weekend and will check in this evening I dunno  These message board drafts will really test your patience, I'm the kind of person where I'll check my computer 50 times a day, waiting for my turn, it can be frustrating. If and when Chaos shows up, he should know that if your going to sign up for one of these things, you need to be checking in regularly. If your not going to be near a computer all day PM the people in front or behind you with your picks.

So Norris, if you're the guy running the show, shouldn't you at least know the rules??The draft timer does not start until tomorrow. If Chaos times out, he goes to the back of the draft (16 spot). He then gets a 4 hour clock. If he times out without making a pick at 16, he would then be replaced. @ you calling someone else a noob!Get a clue man, seriously.

 Normal protocol is:1. Clock isn't even on yet.2. When someone times out in the first round, they move to the 16th spot and everyone else moves up one spot.3. If they time out again at the 16th spot, then they are replaced.

per pm from ruffrody1.08 Rudi JohnsonDomination1.09. Willie Parker
Thanks Chaos,No need to worry, everyone is just excited about drafting and Norris is slightly jumping the gun. We are the farthest draft along, and almost have the 1st rd done before the official start. I would say that we are making good time, then again I was part of WSL 3 and that was one of the longeest drafts ever.

I was watching Gore fall hoping nobody would catch that.

Ah well. That's about how my luck went in Vegas this weekend too.

excellent value there
Nice drafting in the noobie division, eh gb?
WOW! You must be living right.
I know a lot of you have a ton of man love for Frankie-poo, but I just don't get it. I believe his value is appropriate right here at the 11 spot. His value would also be appropriate if he had gone at the 10 spot. I'm not saying the previous picks were right on (except for mine,) but the value is right for Gore at 1.11.Let's move on, nothing to see here. Round 2 will be more of a scene stealer, by far.

Chaser 1239 hasn't drafted yet.... ......2 hours have passed, shouldn't we be preparing to boot him???

What a beautiful day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :goodposting:

I think that Gore at the 11 spot is solid value in this format. If Gore produces anywhere near what he did last year his value is not only good but it leaves this team with a slight advantage over others drafting a few spots before and after him.But I do understand the concerns one might have with his health, somewhat unproven and being without Turner this year. Those concerns could affect him and keep him from producing. But at 11 you have to take him. The risk is more than warrented.

For myself, I just forsee Gore going way earlier than this in many leagues. As you said, lots of man-love for F.Gore.

I agree with the thinking that Gore was drafted appropriately. I think his value is being highly overrated, for a guy with one solid year, injury concerns, and the loss of Turner.BTW noobie division? After the way that WSL3 went, I look forward to bringing some fresh blood in. Drafting with the same guys over and over doesn't help prepare me for the season ahead.

The guy that baffles me is Brian Westbrook here's a guy with a bone on bone knee, and he only has put up huge numbers once and twice with mediocre numbers, if you split the difference he's around the 8-10 rated back.

Not in a ppr league where a young QB has developed a rep for using him as an outlet.

This may be so but let's not forget this is a ppr league and Brian Westbrook catches lots of balls out of the backfield. If he can say fairly healthy, in this format he will finish easily in the top 5 for RB's.

even with the pts per reception he's still not a top 5 back.

Don't you all think we should have a different thread for draft commentary and leave this 1 to picks only?
