Is hockey still on TV somewhere?
in cities that have an NHL team, which I guess excludes Philly.
This is the kind of smack talk that makes a Buffalo fan feel better about posting on a football message board.
sad how pathetic the Bruins have become, huh? when I grew up, I hated the Dolphins and the Bruins. The Patriots were pretty irrelevant. Now, the Bruins are just kind of sad. Shame considering how much of a hockey hotbed that area is too.at least you have the Patriots and Red Sox though.

I was thinking the same thing. I have a good friend who used to work for the Patriots, was a huge fan and got to go to every game. She quit and took a job in marketing with the Bruins just before they traded Thornton. Ouch. On a plus note, the Bruins really have a plan now. Seriously, this time they really mean it.

sorry guys shouldve pmed someone last night. took my time this morning knowing that rads usually isnt here until 11am. Once again my man leo winds up on team fiddles

7.05 Leon Washington

when you have QB like vick, you better have a decent plan B. the leinart pick at 7.3 tells me that the #2 QB pickings make be dwindling down by my next pick, so . . .

7.7. brett favre

now, GB needs to get out there and sign moss!

Good pick Frank. I went back and forth between Jones and Favre a couple hundred times in my sleep last night. Decided that I wanted to fill out the starting lineup first, but Favre was right there given that Young's scrambling ability increases his injury risk.

I can see it now.. Ollie rolling over.. "I'm taking Favre damnit!" After a few restless moments, he rolls back over, "No, I'm goin Jones."..lol...

I am enjoying the purposeful pick commentary......Frank lately with the QB value is sucking dry so and the earlier ones about proud to get the last good XXX in this tier...

Very nice, makes me curious how many politicians we have in this group, or at least how many lawyers?

Carry on, just leave me a good TE to back up Witten.

This is a competitive draft, for sure, and I'm not averse to deliberately starting a run at a position I have locked up, but my commentary has nothing to do with that. This is the first draft of the season for me and I'm legitimately trying to figure out where the tiers and dropoffs are. To me, that means where are these guys being picked, but also, which guys do I have in the wrong tier at this point in the offseason. It seems like some people think I have Clayton in the wrong tier; I'm OK with that, because I like him where I got him and it was valuable for me to have to explain why. I also really believe I got the last QB and TE in their respective tiers. LJ Smith (with a healthy McNabb) was the last "good" TE on my list, and would have been second to last if I hadn't downgraded Watson after the influx of WRs. I'd rather have Kitna than Hasselbeck, if I knew for sure that Detroit wouldn't draft a QB, but because I wasn't sure, I thought he was the last good guy in that tier. And since I felt that the dropoff at WR from rounds 4 to 5/6 was greater than the dropoff at QB/TE, I felt like I couldn't take the good QB or good TE that people thought I should have. That's a valuable conversation to have about draft strategy, and the whole purpose of this draft, IMO.

I mostly areee, and had I known that there would not have been a major QB run I likely would not have taken Brady but couldn't really take the chance with over 30 picks between my picks. I also tend to draft and evaluate players differently than many of the folks in the draft (seeing how I have been in many leagues with a lot of the participants). So some of us will hoarde 24 year old WRs aand others will hoard the 34 year old WRs. That's what keeps it interesting.

My squad so far--

P Manning

Addai, McAllister, Peterson

Cotchery, Holmes

Watson

How many WR's do we start again? :wall:

I wasn't trying to start a run...I really wanted Favre, and in a real draft I probably would have attempted to trade up once he started sliding...excellent value where he was taken.

Looking forward to my C- grade at Tight End with Winslow.

I was not complaining. I ENJOY ALL the commentary. I also, like bostonfred use the Survivors to gage player rankings and tiers. But, I particularly enjoy the exchange among football enthusiasts, especially during the draft, but also later during the season.

Keep all the comments coming, whether exploring strategies, ragging on the other guy, or just player comments.

Its all GOOD, now back to the TE run.......

7.10 Dallas Clark TE Indlet the TE run continue
radballs was trying to decide between favre and matt jones. i was trying to decide between farve and dallas clark. hope there's a decent TE left for me.vickfavrealexanderturnerjonesharrisonevans

7.11 KEVIN CURTIS, WRon pda again...can someone pm for me... thx
Good pick.I was considering him, but after reviewing the Eagles WR2 numbers from last year I wasn't that impressed.I think he can nail a few TDs and help you some weeks, but Philly WR inconsistencies are troubling (they spread the ball to whomever is open on a given week).
