Pedroia or Halladay (1 Viewer)

Our league is 8x8 Roto

Batters - Runs ®, Home Runs (HR), Runs Batted In (RBI), Stolen Bases (SB), Walks (BB), Strikeouts (K), Errors (E), Batting Average (AVG)

Pitchers - Wins (W), Losses (L), Complete Games (CG), Saves (SV), Strikeouts (K), Earned Run Average (ERA), (Walks + Hits)/ Innings Pitched (WHIP), Hits Per Nine Innings (H/9)

Halladay is more valuable in this league because of his complete games. Pedroia is a top-notch player at a position that's not very deep, and he hardly ever strikes out.

I've been thinking this whole time of keeping Halladay and trading Pedroia for an upgraded prospect. Right now my keepers are Fielder, Kemp, Tulowitzki & Halladay. Prospect keepers are Neftali Feliz, Travis Snider & Tim Beckham (Tampa Bay SS). I get 5 pts. for prospects this year. Snider & Feliz are worth 2 pts., because they're already in the majors. Beckham is still 1 pt. I'm really trying to trade Pedroia for Matt Weiters, but he's also 2 pts., so I'd have to trade Snider or Feliz along with Pedroia, just to get Weiters. Or...I could trade Pedroia & Beckham for Buster Posey. Not as good as Weiters, but anything beats just throwing Pedroia back into the draft pool.

So really...there are 2 questions. Keep Halladay or Pedroia AND should I wait for this guy to make on a decision with Weiters (which may take a while & means letting go of Feliz) or pull the trigger on Posey (letting go of a lesser prospect in Beckham)

a few things.....first, Pedroia is a rare player who will contribute in all 8 categories. He has a high average and a high obp (unlike maybe a Cano who has a high BA and so/so obp). And yeah, 45 k's over 700+ pa's is about 1/3 of what a guy like Utley may produce over the same amount. Pedroia should get you teens in hr's, 20 or so steals, 75 or so rbi's, 110+ runs, great obp, good ba and low k totals. I don't have his error totals, but he did win a gold glove a few years ago, no?Halladay on the other hand should give you a good amount of wins, his k numbers seemed to have recovered from the so-so numbers a few years back, and his WHIP should be outstanding, although his h/9 is a touch less, he doesn't walk anyone. But bear in mind he is moving to a hitters ball park. He's also moving to a NL team where the hitters are pinch hit for in tighter games, so I'd temper my cg expectations. The Jays bullpen was pretty awful last year (and the Jays weren't really in a penant race), so keeping Halladay out there was not much of a concern. Now he'll be on a division leading type team, which may want to limit his innings a bit for post season play, and again in a NL team....Halladay had 9 cg last years....Cole Hamels has 6 for his career.....just saying I'd really need to see who else you are considering keeping, I don't ordinarily recommend keeping pitchers.

Halladay may start 32 games and win all of them.

After seeing AL East hitters for years, NL hitters must seem like Little Leagers.
